Happy new year chaps! Ok, more work done on the ol Panther. Couple of small problems had to be overcome but nothing too serious. As One of the guys mentioned, the engine fans and air intake boxes, wouldn't align correctly when i mounted them as per the instructions so instead of mounting them on the lower hull, i glued them onto the underside of the upper hull and the alignment is spot on. The upper hull wasn't a good fit onto the lower half, the glacis plate at the front meeting perfectly but a bit of a gap appeared at the rear panel. I think this was down to the lower hull being slightly warped. I basically used some heavy spring clips to get the upper hull and rear panel to join correctly and left them over night. Happy with the result and no filling required. That's the trickiest part of the build done, i always feel there isn't much room for error when joining the two parts of the hull, especially when you have an angled glacis plate with zimmerit, it has to be spot on here. Wheels are also done, their loose on the model in the pics, they'll be taken off and sprayed separately. Thanks for looking Stuart.

Nice start Brother Stuart, despite the fit issue, which i had the same problem with y Dragon Panther G. kit. Love that molded Zimm. Thats one thing they got right me thinks.

Thanks Gary, yeah the detailing on all parts is incredible, the zimm is perfect and that's why i wanted to be real careful with the join at the front. Can't wait to paint this one dude, that zimm will i believe make the colors pop out somewhat!

Nice work Stu you BEAST i wish i had the idea of attaching them to the upper hull would of saved me a lot of messing around as the others have said the Zimm looks amazing it looks as if the upper and lower hulls on both our kits have been a little testing it looks like by the next update we should both have the lower hulls complete Dan B

Ok guys, managed some more work on the Panther over the last couple of days. Rear panel done and engine cover and fan grills complete. My patience was tested with some of the tiny parts but got there in the end. Had to cut and sand both rear stowage bins as they didn't sit correctly, they both had a considerable gap along the top which going by numerous pics of the real thing isn't right with the model. Was no big deal though and they now sit nicely. Onwards and upwards!

Not onto the turret stage just yet mate. Next up is all the stuff that hangs off the hull sides lol. I'll just put on the the various racks and the tube for the cleaning rods and leave the tools and stuff off and paint them separately. Stuart.
