Marc, FREAKING AWESOME! Am really looking forward to the duel. I think we should call it 'Captain Plunk's Fault' or something like that.
Jimmy, sure will let you know. You are correct I use acrylic pretty much so it should help. Not sure about enamel but I think my friend uses it so I will ask him about this.

I like it Bill but befitting the nationality...
"Kapitän Plunk's Rache"
Or, taking "Plunk" literally...
"Kapitän Zupfen's Rache"

Bill has me about thiiiiiss close to picking up that midget sub for myself. Best of luck with the duel. Even though it's a sub for some reason I keep thinking of a variation on the old 'Battleship' commercials. "You Plunk my battleship!". Anyways here's my Xmas/birthday haul. First year without any armour since I've returned to the hobby, but tried out 1/32 planes this year and that stuffs like crack. Armour stash will have to stay put for a while. - I've been wanting a 1/32 Hurricane for a while and picked it up at a "take my money" price. RB Harness and it's set to go from the box.
- The Hunter isn't really my thing. The father in law picked it up for me and he's really into British aircraft. If I can keep the in-laws happy by building a model I guess I will do what I have to do. Trying REAL hard to find markings to make it grab my attention.
- The BF-109 twins happened on accident. The wife picked one up on Amazon and wrapped it. A month later she stopped by the LHS and asked them to pick out something I'd like. She said she thought the box art looked familiar wrapping it the 2nd time. I'm planning on one Italian and one Hungarian.
Take care, #57

Try a Google image search for "Miss Demeanour Hawker Hunter F58A"... Cheers, M I couldn't possibly do that paint job justice, but that was an eye opener! I never really liked the looks of Hunters. The usual dark sea grey/dark green camo you see 95% of them in does a real good job of hiding what nice lines that plane has. It's like sticking Christina Hendricks in a hazmat suit. I stand corrected. Thanks again. #57

#57...I'll be doing the G-6 myself soon. Don't worry about doubling up on that one. There are more Gustav schemes to do than there is time to do them for any of us mortals.
Look forward to a WIP on the Hurricane. I've not been able to convince myself to deal with the limited run quirkiness of a PCM kit yet, but I am intrigued.

Have fun with the Messerschmitts! Definitely wouldn't worry about the schemes, especially as you have the options to build them with short or tall tails, framed or Erla canopies, etc. Just watch out for the forward cowl cheeks and the godawful gear struts.

30% off at the LHS today. And apparently the theme today is French armor.

What have I done?!?!?! (banging my head against the wall) A large package arrived yesterday and it was my late Christmas gift! It will be one of my builds planned in 2015. A dedication to a good friend whose father flew it during WWII with the 458th Bombardment Group H. It is going to be fun... I definitely will need help from my wingy buddies. LOL

I can not wait to see you tackle this vintage kit...you know that's an airplane right... I glue blobbed that one a couple of times as a kit.

LOL! Jeez is that kit very old? It was issued in 1990'a but am afraid they used same molding?
No kidding about the movie Unbroken... First thing we see on the screen... Liberators!!! Funny thing the package arrive minutes before we left to see the movie yesterday.

I'm pretty sure that kit was molded in the 70s at the latest...that is a 90s boxing. I did have it in that boxing myself...around the age of 15 or 16 if I recall correctly. It's got some fit hiccups common of kits of that vintage, but nothing too bad I'm sure.

That old?!?!? I ordered plenty of aftermarket sets to make it better... spent about $90 already this morning. LOL And I will probably order few more after talking with DoogsATX tonight. For sure the canopy and some clear parts have to be replaced as they have nasty steams running right across in the middle!
Hoping I will start it in the spring or sooner!

Yup. It's old. Actually, somewhere on there (probably a stabilizer or wing) you should probably find a molded on watermark of sorts with the date on it.
I have heard that the canopy is pretty bad. I know Squadron used to sell vacuuform replacements for it.

Ditto what Andy said.
Can't wait to see what you do with the M7 Gary, I got one sitting as a shelf queen that I kind of made a mess of. Looking for some inspiration to take another crack at her.
