An optivisor will only do so much John. All depends on what you're working on! In this particular case I believe BJ would call it a 'target'!

So I guess this is my most recent purchase, bought back in January and pretty much why I have given myself a spending embargo........ how long that may last I dont know? Anyhow the pictures tell a tale of madness, this for all intents and purposes is the kit! the Revell Flower class corvette is basically the add on bits lol And what's the biggest sheet of etch you have seen? this is mine about 30" long, by 6" wide!! Just waiting for a book to arrive and the insanity can begin!!

I know! I know! I know! I lied... I am weak! I am so inferior! Went back to Hobby Town USA to take advantage of ongoing 50% off sale... Just in case Rob still doesn't believe me about 50% off at that store... see those pretty neon orange stickers? Since my wife was out of town partying in New Orleans, I took my son there to buy a bottle of dark blue for his school project as he is doing a miniature diorama of War of 1812. I bought the big gun. Then next day I realized I should have bought the Half Track too... Don't worry I used cash for second purchase. LOL One day I will build both together... Only $29... not bad! This makes my third Trumpy purchase in a row... please somebody give Dicky a head knuckle rub for me when you see him next time!

My latest addition is a PK-PRO Miniature holder. DSC_3999 by TonyThunder, on Flickr I'm trying to improve my figure painting and I'm forever rubbing paint off of the figure I'm painting through excessive handling so when I saw one of these I had to give it a go. DSC_4001 by TonyThunder, on Flickr It is a very comfortable in the hand and the bar can be rotated through 360 degrees. DSC_4005 by TonyThunder, on Flickr You simply fit a pin to the figure and the Cork is semi split and tapered so that you push it in to the ceramic base which tightens around the pin and sits securely in the base. To remove you just push the cork out through the bottom. Not cheap at 18 euro's but does seem to have been well thought out and I definitely have a use for it. It comes in two sizes 54mm (pictured) and a smaller 30mm. DSC_4012 by TonyThunder, on Flickr Company website is hereI have no connection other than being a satisfied customer. T

Nice haul there Andy! The 'it was on-sale!' defense is a tried-and-true one in the model world...just like with shoes! That looks like a nifty device there Tony, I can imagine it will come in quite handy...you knew it was coming, right?

Well crap! I went ahead and did it! I just bought that 1/16 Trumpeter SU-100 a few minutes ago... right before Valentines day too. When it arrives I'll show some pics of it and hopefully decide to convert it to R/C or build the whole thing with the interior. I think this will shock me back to the bench... all 200 bucks of it that is! Jeff

Oh Man Jeff, SU Flu strikes BIG TIME. Make sure you post some pics when it arrives. Sure will Jeff! BTW... anyone hate dust as much as me? It hurts to clean the stuff up JUST to get back to buildin'. But I am armed with canned air, a make-up brush and Pledge! The SU-100 must be R/C'd I think as it's been a long standing favorite of mine. Details later. Jeff

If there is a so called "50 percent off sale" here, its after they've marked the price up by $20.00 bucks. You got some BAD A$$ stuff bro, Love it!!! The Hobby Town down the road, those two kits woulda cost 70-80 bucks together easy, Im so jealous.

In the past it was usually old wingy kits and very OLD armor kits on sale and nothing like those pretty good armor kits like right now. I checked with Sprue Brothers just to make sure that I am really saving money and I did. I paid $55 for both... Sprue Brothers would have charged me $96 for both PLUS shipping cost. I think its sweet... can't wait to build them both. Thanks Gary!

Thats why i never buy armor at Hobby Town. I get supplies there, but thats pretty much it. I scored the Airfix Mosquito at the Hobby Town in Plano Tx, about 20.min North of here for $11.99. Same kit down the road close is about 17-18 bucks!
