I had forgotten all about this one. I started this back in 2009 or 2010 while waiting on another project order and when it came in I placed it back in the box and it's been there ever since. Think i'll play around with it again while I wait for my back ordered tracks or a warm paint day. Tony lee

I think I remember this one...looks like a perfect 'time filler' to me Tony! Just don't let it sit another 4 years in between updates.

Hi Tony, This was a cracking kit! I built it toward the end of last year. It was slightly let down by the use of some older 'crude' sprues from an earlier Ferdinand kit but Friuls and an RB barrel made up for it Looks like you are off to a good start. It was a fairly simple build iirc - I recall having problems with the RB Barrel and then found out that I'd fitted it wrong so be very careful when comes to the barrel (depending on what you use). Here's mine - I hope you don't mind buddy: I remember thinking that the supplied pistol-port chain looked VERY overscale so I substituted that with some Tank Workshop mega thin pre blackened chain. You can see it in the second photo. I'll be following closely - I love your builds my friend and I'll look forward to seeing what you do with this! Good luck! Ben

I don't mind Ben at all,you did good btw. Wouter I can't figure out why I haven't built one of these yet other than there has been so many done on the forums it would be boring to the masses to see another one. Like Bull said "Another One" So far it has been a pretty simple build. I only worked on it for a couple of hours yesterday and got a lot done on it. Update coming later today Tony lee

nice update again!!!
I was wondering Tony, when I bought Friuls for my Elefant, I got two white metal sprockets in the bag as well. Are you going to use them or keep the plastic ones? Or ain't they in the package anymore?
Which paintjob have you planned btw?
Cheers

Wouter I really don't remember why I didn't use the track sprockets other than they must not have been any better than the kits or they were better than what was provided for another brands less detailed sprockets. As for paint scheme I haven't even looked for examples of how they were painted. I've seen a lot of builds that were painted with thin lines. I'll look around when I get my eyes open a little more. Later Tony lee
