Thanks Leon! It was a fun little build (for an early 80's Monogram, anyway).

Me too, Gary! In fact, I'd be getting more done if I were at the bench instead of on the internet, so... <logs off>

Nice work on #4 Dupes, you're still on pace for the 50 but only just at 4 per month!

Yeah, but I was slacking the first 10 days or so. And I've still got 3 days left in January! 5x12=60...?

Thanks Vlad!
Yeah, that Persuader sure is different. I REALLY wish there were kits of the other Star Wars armored vehicles in this scale - it would make a great collection.

Believe me, brother - this whole thing is to try to help me get RID of all of my shelf queens! The count was over 40 (yeah, seriously) the last time I checked.
Although of the four done so far in January, only one came out of that pile along with three "fresh" ones. Need to improve my ratio!

Alright, so here's number five, the Mirage Hobby TKS in 1/35. This is probably the worst kit I've ever bothered to finish...wanted to chuck it several times! Took some pictures very shortly after it was done so I was 100% sure that the vinyl tracks would stay glued together. Notes - this thing is TINY. Should have included something in the photo for reference purposes. Easiest comparison - same size as the 1/48 Komatsu dozer I finished in January. Frickin' WEE!

I think it looks fantastic!!! I like the chipping on the little tank. Dig the boxy camo job... good job!

Technically, it's a "tankette". Translation - "easy to blow up even with light weapons". Thanks, though. The paint scheme on the box art caught my eye, some sort of cool Polish early-war urban thing? Brush painted it with 3-4 coats of highly thinned Vallejo.

Thanks guys! Rick - I have a 1/35 Tamiya Wirbelwind and the Pantherturm vignette/dio thingy that have both been getting weathered at the same time as the TKS...they'll be in the display case today or tomorrow (depending on how long it takes me to clean up all of this snow).

Hahaha...and here I was feeling like I needed to pick up the pace! Wasted a bunch of time this week plowing and shoveling (amongst other things) instead of building and weathering.

You're slowing down a bit there Marc, got to pick up the pace! Nice work on the little wee beastie. Tankette was a euphemism for 'all we could afford' during the Depression-pre-war years!

Here we are with number 6 and 7. Both were getting weathered with the TKS (similar paint schemes), so I did all of the finishing touches today. Tamiya Wirbelwind: And the multi-manufacturer Pantherturm: Should be right back on pace for 50 builds.

Don't sell yourself short - your Wildcat and Stuart in particular I really dug. Love them both... can I have them both? I know its still illegal in USA? They haven't relaxed the marriage laws for plastic models? Huh. Guess you're going to have to move to Utah first?

Indeed! Trying to decide what's getting tackled next. So many choices, I don't know which way to go (this is why I have so many half-builts in the first place).

Oh, absolutely. Now that I've started in on the Corsair, it won't be this month...but I can't imagine it'll take much past that. Of course, I could just multitask two or three at a time on the bench...
