So that's a WEEK after IPMS Nationals in 2015? Which is just a short trip down I-70 from you as well?
*Sigh*.
Here's the thing - I can't take a week off in the middle of the summer. It's not possible. That's right in the middle of my busy season...so there's no way for me to ever be able to hit both of them in the same year (as much as I'd love to fly down, do show #1, spend the week in your man cave, do show #2, and then fly home).

Understood... I recall you are in cheese import business and summer is busiest time for you. You are always welcome to stay at my place if you want to visit Gen Con.

Number 24 is in the books! 1/72 Hasegawa F-20 Tigershark painted up in hypothetical (had it gone into full production) Ecuadorian Air Force (Fuerza Area Ecuatoria) markings. Front page updated as well. Hmmmm...what to finish next.

Ooooo... that is pretty Dupes! I love the hypothetical schemes!
Yes, what to do next... what to do... what to do....?
It is a shame you've got such limited choices. Narrows your options...

Thanks Leon! Ooooo... that is pretty Dupes! I love the hypothetical schemes! This one is technically only somewhat hypothetical - their current KFIRs use this paint job (or at least a close facsimile). Yes, what to do next... what to do... what to do....? It is a shame you've got such limited choices. Narrows your options... It's mostly a debate about whether to polish off a couple (or twenty) shelf queens or to let myself crack into something I got at the last show (especially that 1/48 Eduard I-16 Profipack destined to be in Romanian markings).

That's an impressive collection of models Dupes.
Do you build while you're cycling or what?

That's an impressive collection of models Dupes. Do you build while you're cycling or what? I have actually attempted to build while riding my trainer...it didn't work very well (Xacto knives and all). Heh. I have to settle for reading modeling mags and books!

Way to go... it looks great!!! You are so close to your goal of #50, correct? The 50 goal got pretty well gunned down when I got pneumonia this summer (not to mention all of the other times I got sick - kid in daycare) and sat on the couch for almost two months when I wasn't at work. Blah. I'll certainly still hit the 30 goal I had set originally...and have my sights firmly set on 2015.

Just so you guys don't think I'm slacking, got a couple more on the shelf tonight! Took about a week to do a monster stash cleanup/reorganization that's had me away from the forum...but that has got me WAY fired up to build after pouring through kits boxes down in the basement. Watch out, ton of stuff coming down the pipeline! First one is the 1/25 AMT Batskiboat - couldn't find a place to put the box for this kit when I was rearranging the stash...so I built it. Hah! Unfortunately you can't see the cockpit once it's built, because it's pretty cool. Next up is a 1/18th 21st Century Toys Tiger tank that I got from a friend in order to receive a repaint/weathering. There's a shot of what it looked like originally here on Amazon: www.amazon.com/Series-WWII-German-Tiger-Scale/dp/B00005UQGLAnd what it looks like now: I could keep playing with this pretty much forever trying out various weathering techniques (it's HUGE!), but he's coming back to Maine for Thanksgiving so he gets his Tiger back. I'm hoping he brings me another one to work on.

Yeah, it's flippin' huge. Seriously! At this scale I think you would need to adopt some new techniques there's so much ground to cover. Wanted to replace a bunch of the parts (tools, cables, antenna, MG, etc.) with more detailed stuff, but had a hard time coming up with appropriate things...tried 1/16, but they were uber expensive.
