Grazie Luigi All the masking has finally been pulled off. It's one of those "moments" in aircraft modeling. Looking it over for paint that got under the tape etc I got pretty lucky. Barely any touch up needed. Needs to cure for the clear coat then... wait for it Bill... you know what's next. DECALS!

The underside is even better than the yellow coat. The shading is perfect and already shows an awesome final outcome Bring on the decs

Thanks Gary. In fact I hadn't mentioned but will be happy to now. Model Master enamel RLM 79 Sandgelb. Lightened a tiny bit for the base coat. Then the middles of panels hit with a another layer but slightly lighter still. Thanks Bill. The Zvezda sheet color call out have weird names and no RLM #. Thanks Jimmy. And please reply often. Can't get enough of the avatar. Not much flying gettin' done once those are removed. Thanks Luigi. Thanks Anthony. Glad you said that so I am not the only crazy one in here. I just finished most of the "fun" when they are dryer I will snap some update pics.

CB. Thanks for Tammy info. And the answer is no, but I like the way you think. Did that once. Might do it again someday. Here some pics of a Fw190D-9 "Big Tail" in 144, 72,48,32 and 24th scales Bill, you and I are on the same page. I am hoping you start you weathering 1st though Andy, Yup. I drove to Texas, whacked Bill on the noggin, stole his model and scrape off the 14 .. made it a 2 and no ones the wiser. Sam, Luigi, Phil... thanks guys. Gary Thanks and it's my pleasure.

That's a pretty sweet line-up there Marc! Out of curiosity, what happened to the 1/24th's tail? Looks like a chunk of B-17 or something sticking out of it. As for getting to the weathering stage 1st, I think that's an easy bet...I've got nothing left to tackle on mine! The real question is how long it will take to actually complete...

Wow Dicky. That's... well...just wonderfully done. It means a lot. Nyuk Nyuk
Bill I had to go back to look at what you were talking about. That's an open access hatch.
Moose the 24th scale is Trumpeter and the 32nd is Revell of Germany

Ah, I see...seems a strange place to have a hatch and the pics angle just made it look 'strange'. Makes sense now though!
