This may interest you if you fall into either one of those groups! Have been looking for one of these for...a long time. Years. Not that I'm a completely dedicated Shermahol, but I do have an awful lot of IDF interest (and kits - this almost completes the collection). Anyways, finally found one! Had to "import" it from Belgium, but even with that being the case, managed to score it for WAAAAAY less than the $125-150 it regularly fetches on Ebay. To my surprise, was even in new/sealed/unsullied condition! Don't even want to open it yet. Heh.

Pretty neat stuff there Dupes...bring it on!! It will be broughten! Not quite yet, though. Need to do some research and probably source some decals. That and find a good mix of the "ever elusive" IDF gray.

Nope, I've only recently started using Legends conversions, and I'll be willing to bet that one has a butt-load of parts..... Makes my hands shake just thinking about it. Did Legends supply interior parts? That makes me faint right there.

You know - I don't remember? Mark Aldrich (the guy who runs the IDF SIG through IPMS) sent me one to check out about 6 months ago...we were hoping that it might be small enough to make molds and cast resin copies. It isn't! Larrrrge sheet of PE and a LOT of resin, including the entire upper hull piece. As far as interior, I don't recall. Haven't broken the seal on mine yet, but I'll check. Good luck finding one! I talked to Mark about it, he has two that he's come across in the last 10 years. I can't believe that Legend wouldn't have re-released it by now, but no luck.

Chilly 58 here right now, rained a bit earlier.
Dupes, I believe that's a later variant of the ambulance so if nothing else mix Tamiya Khaki XF 49, 50/50 with Tamiya Medium Gray XF 20.
Earlier variants (pre '73) would be similar to Tamiya Buff XF 57 50/50 with Medium Gray XF 20.
Then again anything "sandy" will suffice. Heck with the proper weathering, purple and pink would be just fine as well.

Again, close is good enough.
The MM color sprayed just beautifully for me. In fact I used Lifecolor thinner as I had run out of MM Acryl thinner. Either of the thinners do a good job with Lifecolor or MM Acryl paints.
BTW, My friends tell me the current color is officially called "Sand Yellow". The same friends say they refer to it as $#!t brown.

Looks like this will be turning into a WIP thread sooner rather than later...got a bit worried about the condition of the Legend set, so on one of my trips down to the basement today I ripped open the package! Here's what I found: Everything appears to be in good order. There is a sliiiight bit of warpage at the rear of the main hull piece, but I think it's all in the pour-bits that will get sawed off in prep. Haven't opened up the M50 donor kit yet to test fit on the lower hull, but I will the next chance I get.
