OK. Not sure if that has anything to do with that. I use FirFox and have very little issues. I did have something similar to that a short while ago and it was an ad popup thing that would open on the bottom every time I changed pages. I first googled something like "annoying bottom page popup thing"...anyway I was able to stop mine by clicking on it and opting to disable...this was obviously nothing harmful....but google it just the same.

Hey getntlemen,
I use Internet Explorer to browse. I have firefox installed but when i tried it it was slow an quirky. Would that be a result of IE still installed or am i missing FF updates?
Thanks, Gary

So changed the forum skin to 'Mr Scratchmod' and that fixed it. Nice clear web pages now

Thanks, Gary My lad has both browsers on his netbook so tried MSC on it. Both work fine. He did say you may need to run CCleaner more often to clear the dross from the memory and paging file. Oh and make sure you've the latest FF installed.

Also i couldnt find an update option, does it do that automaticly or am i missing it? EDIT: It seems to have smoothed out and the site runs much better with FF. What tha heck i been doin, with IE!!!

Gary, Chrome is google's browser. It's based on the same engine as safari (mac's browser), and it renders the pages faster than any other competitor It laso has lots of nice extensions. The only drawback is that it doesn't manage RSS internally.

RSS is a way to have a site push it's changes to your browser. In firefox they're called something like "dynamic bookmarks". And you can get chrome here

Fellas, there are some bugs, especially since many PB forums are being updated so we can expect querks now and then. If the problems were forum widespread ( everyone) then it would need addressing..but if it's on;y a few there isn't anything on my end that I can fix.
Wing Nut. yeah the 'back to top' was the first thing I added when we switched, very useful button.
I will not be playing admin with set up and what not this week. i have too many other things going on this week so very little time for the forum. If there is some thing major that has happened then I will tackle it, other than that I am taking a short break.

You've definitely earned a break Rob! So long as the ProBoards 'Angry Bear' stays relatively well-behaved we should be ok. I've switched over to using Chrome to read/view the forums as I had the same issue as Gary with the centered text. I suspect it's an issue with certain versions of IE and the updates done on various servers (or not) that is causing an issue. I strongly suspect it's related to the recent 'panic' over Java vulnerabilities that popped up over the weekend. Everything was going just fine until Saturday/Sunday in terms of what I could see and view in IE.

Bill I confirm what you're saying. At work I have to stick with IE8 and >I have the same issues. And the site is considerably slower.

Hey Rob, Judging by other's response, my pop-up window thing is an issue unique to only a few users. In addition, the "Participated" button works for me now - so thanks for fixing that! All in all, I think you guys are handling the transfer well. No catastrophic glitches or meltdowns. That's a win in my book!!

Awwww nuts... I spoke too soon. The "Participated" button worked, but now it isn't. I'm gonna try Chrome and see if I get different results... Might as well mess around here - we're about to be snowed in!!

OK... Chrome seems to work better.... but I just noticed something else. When I am in a thread, the "Back to Top" button is at the top of the page, next to the page numbers of the thread. When I scroll down, the "Back to Top" button scrolls off the top of the screen. Should there be a set of page numbers or a "Back to Top" button at the bottom of my screen? Do other people have one there?

Boyd, at this time there is no 'back to top' button for the bottom of the screen. I only found the one plug in for the top of the page so far. That is one feature that I had to have on the new forum, regardless of it's location. This makes things much quicker for me as admin having to keep track of things.

Here's what I mean: top of the page as I see it, with "Back to Top" button: Bottom of page, as I see it, no button:
