The shout box has been moved back...sorry fellas. As for the screen size. That should be fixed by now. Things may get weird while things get added or moved so please hang in there. I had to make changes in the forum size to get other things in place. if there are still issues with the width let me know and I will make it smaller. The cat/borad and thread areas will be bigger than the main page due to the fact that there are no info or logos in that area.

WR, I would start a new thread to draw more attention to see if you can have enough modelers interested to do Sci-Fi. Good luck!

WR, like Andy said, start a thread to find out if there is interest. I know we have quite a few sci-fi modelers here so you never know. BTW, was great to meet you in person this past weekend at the show.

My understanding from past experience is a Group Build can be just about anything from a particular subject, such as:
* Anything armor from WWII 1942-1945 * Anything Russian aircraft late-war WWII * Bi-planes of the Great War * American Civil War figures
What I noted on this site is, your Group Build section is catagorized into subjects already, and then builds of that subject within?
I guess I'm just used to a Group Build board, and the GB's subjects are chosen from the last "winner" of a build.
Given that assumption, I thought a Sci-fi Group Build had no home in the GB boards designated to other genres. Though, Sci-fi is such a specialized area....perhaps its not a big draw. Perhaps the Post Apocalyptic Board could be modified?

Thanks for the great chat and introductions.

WR, As you by now have noticed, this forum is very laid back and you can build what, when and how you like. There is no pressure here, or stress. The GB is the same way, no pressure and it should be fun. We can modify the sci-fi GB or like jackwagon said post in the sci fi cat. Some cat.'s are not as popular, or many members build those types of models. If there are enough people who want to build a theme GB then we can set up the GB thread for it. Again, pretty laid back here so just have fun and find a place to post your build.

Sounds good to me Sorry for sounding confused on this....I plan on building sci-fi stuff regardless. My point was that it'd be cool to have a Sci-fi GB, but I saw no place to start one; nor quite understood if members can start GB's on their own, or if Mods do it. Different forums do it different ways, as can be expected. Thanks for hanging in there with my fuzziness....as I knew you all would. It's a great group of people here, and a stellar Mods cadre.

The other day the site was working fine and then TSHTF. Now I have to do multi clicks to get anywhere and Photo bucket list two URLs even though it will post a single picture? ?? I started a Soviet GB and nobody joined so far. Tony lee

Not sure what would be Tony....PB does some strange thigns from time to time. As for the shifty stuff on the site here, I can only surmise Proboards doing some items or even the Boss from time to time trying to keep things current. Is it still glitchy for you now?
As for the Soviet GB....are you talking about the one you have going all by yourself? LOL!!! Give me some time, I have a nice 152 shouting obscenities at me from the shelf!!

Yep "T" it's still click, click and click some more even a double click thrown in for good measure. It takes a lot more backstrokes to get out of a topic than to get into one. Tony lee

Which browser are you using Joe and Tony? I use Chrome as my standard browser for accessing the forums here and have had no issues.

sorry bill. i use chrome at home and firefox at the office. have noticed it more at home than the office. joe Are you navigating via the browser back buttons or using the drop-down navigation up at the top (see pic below to see what I mean)? This new version of the forum has many more ways to get around so it may present a different work-around for you to get faster from one place to another. Each of the little sub-arrow parts of that menu are also clickable and will change depending on which part of the forum you're in. Not sure if you're aware of that option or not?

I can't replicate the click issue with Chrome or Firefox right now on my system, so it's not something that appears to be a constant issue.

The site will slow and speed up, as well as functions not working right at times, and this may be due to PB changing other forums over to V5 and making changes-fixing bugs. For me the only thing that is slow uploading is the info box. But this will be getting a make over soon.

Gary I have noticed that it can be slow on Login but never 5 minutes just noticeably slow. There are a number of other funny things that happen which I think the IT people describe as an indication of system instability but to me its just what we live with in the 21st Century.
Bones.

Spud my buddy I told you many times that if you have such problems then turn of the porn download program But seriously I noticed it myself but up till now I didn't find any logical pattern in it as it happens only from time to time.

I have experienced it myself too, yesterday. It was worse than ever, making it almost impossible to see the forums. It came after a week of issues in loading pages, that today seem to have disappeared. So I'm guessing they were fixing some code yesterday to improve the overall performances
