It's all I can do not to say what I want to say about those round things Primer has brought that thing to life Carl. Your "tape tarp" looks killer.

Good that you've pulled through! Most people who build a Merkava would have put it on hold at this point

Nice job on the side skirts Carl. Enamel, you say? Couple of questions. Thinned with? Ratio? And last but not least, how long does it take to dry?

Jeff glad to answer those questions . Thinned with Model Master thinner . The stuff I'm using comes in a black 8 oz. can . Ratio is at least 50/50 . In this case I went extra thin and used about 60% thinner so as I could build up the sand color over the gray gradually . I don't like to spray heavy coats . Keep psi up around 25 . This combination of MM paints and MM/Testors thinner dries fast to the touch. A painted part can be handled carefully within 10 min. But can take 24 hrs to cure completely . Good spray painting !

Thanks Carl. I've got a build coming up that I may need to use enamels on to get the right look. The info is greatly appreciated.

Greetings and salutations on this fine day ! Jeff your welcome and let me know how it works out for you . Fingers crossed ! Dan you are entirely kind mate . : Lui I must say I appreciate your following this one and your comment is most welcome Nems thank ye ole musty one ! I did notice all of the color variations to the same shade of what I believe is Israel sand gray . I wasn't happy with how the color looked in the previous posted pics . They look too much towards the yellow spectrum and the models paint isn't yellow at all . So I re-adjusted my light balance and shot a pic of the turret that looks closely similar to the paint color on the model . Your welcome on those afore mentioned comments I made . I want you to know it took me about 45 min or so to come up with them my friend . I had to look up that word you used and then find something equally as intelligent to reply to it with ! Gawrrd it gave me noggin a head ache mate !

Lady's and gents I have paint on the turret now ! Same paints and methods as the skirts except that I did spend some time masking off a few panels to get a sharper demarcation line in the two colors .

Oh yer don't 'ave to 'splain it to me fella.....sometimes me ol' swede feels like it's fit to burst......I can barely extrude some of vernacular wittisisms that are ricocheting brownian motion fashion within the internal confines of my cranial cavity....... Ok Nems I aint even goin to try to equal this one with anattempt at a quality come back mate ....... .........but I'm glad I aint the only one left on the side of the road that leads to a greater understanding of the use of the American language . (that augter stir your English language resources a triffle bit )
