Alternatively, you could fit a MG mount to the glacis, full height mesh schurtzen, Panther-style spaced top armour, paint it in red primer and put it on a base marked "Kummersdorf, 1945" - that should cause some confusion... Cheers, M

Gary im busy taking notes on this as a certain member of our community, who shall remain nameless, but it begins with D want to take me completely out of my comfort zone and build a tank , so your gonna have to explain what a pin wash is, and why did you gloss it to matt it later ??

It be part of they black arts they calls armour building,Paul. They put the shiny stuff on so's the washes etc flow all nice like where you want em,then when they're dry,if you like the look, you throw that there flat stuff on.(I think?)

Hey Paul, theres several schools of thought on this. My process is prime, paint basecoat, paint tools & accessories, seal with Gloss, apply Decals seal decals with gloss, Pin washes, seal with Flat. Thats what i do to the point at which you see the Humber now. I do my weathering in layers. Next ill do panel fading with oils & maybe some enamels. When thats done, it seal that with another coat of Flat. Ill do chipping, enamel streaks and grime/dust and when thats done, ill spray another thin coat of Flat. I finish up with pigments and graphite in proper areas and thats it pretty much. You generally dont apply pigments then seal over that as you'll lose most if not all the effect you created. Im letting the Humber cure about 3 days while i play with the Leopard and make ready for this weekends Model Show. Ian, Does your local hardware store sale Lacquer thinner? Thats should do the trick bro. Thanks a bunch my MSC brothers! I appreciate one and all! McBoggs
