German 39(H) 10.5cm LeFH19(SF) auf Geschutzwagen It’s that time of year for the Big Spring Contest over at Scale Model Addict and this is my entry. I won this kit from last years BSC by our good mate John Simmons. I had made a promise to him that I would build it for this years BSC.

Good luck with it, John. I did the same kit a while back (like almost 3 yrs ago) and I can truthfully say that it was, well, interesting. I actually just went back in my pictures to refresh my memory. Besides the fiddly suspension, be forewarned the kit tracks are a hair long.

This is going to be FUN watching you build this. Good luck buddy!

Looking forward to this one BJ! You'll have the full support of Tony behind you as well since it's an SPG of course.

Well Andy, I have been ill for the last few weeks and haven't spent too much time at the bench. Maybe I'm still out of my mind???
Thanks Bill, I suspect uncle Tony should be along any time.

Hi BJ Got this in my stash also. Got it out late last year with the intention of blasting through it but after reading the PMMS review and checking out the sprues I figured it would need some real big assistance. I got an Alu barrel and some tracks and was searching for interior gubbins when I got sidetracked with an RPM model Marder 1 and I thought the Geschutzwagen would be a challenge Looking forward to updates and how you work your magic on this one Los

Ok, I’ve made a start, Not much progress as of yet, but I’m working on cleaning up the road wheels. I can only stand so much of that at a time, so I’ve finished the interior details in the lower hull. I also have the gun halves glued together so I can start cleanup of the seam. Another area of concern is the large amount of injector pin marks on the interior surfaces of the sides and shields. Nothing some putty and an hour and the kitchen sink won’t fix. I’ll let the putty continue to shrink and apply a second coat as needed.

I'm pretty much going to build this one out of the box. Except for maybe some tracks, it all depends on how the kit tracks fit. I have several of those RPM kits myself, I'm slowly collecting AM for those, LOL

I spoke too soon BJ. The picture is of the Trumpeter 7.5cm Marder I. The one I have like your 1.05cm is a Bronco.

Not much you can do about the ejector marks except putty and sand...at least they are on the inside!
