Hello officer Boots, fancy meeting you here. I suppose you heard rumors of a Tiger duel? I can assure you that none of your cousins or uncles are involved in this activity cause that would be illegal! I can only surmise that the peanuts issue was a trumped up reason to pull me over cause i know you now and what you need so..... ssshhh pull over behind that gas station and ill slip you a pound of the finest nip in the county if you'll look the other way as we duel it out to the end.
So Officer Boots, as i was saying....ill get the peanut shells out tha litter box.....have a nice day Officer.

So, we're on page three and you haven't even started. Dicky would already be finished by now.

Dicky wouldn't.....he'd still be lookin' through the box and instructions wondering why the ferk they'd put so many wheels in the feckin' box and why the boxart looks so unlike the modern Soviet Gaz Armoured Car......... LOL And its not even a Trumpeter.....how dare he! Nice one Nephew, i remember that commercial for sure! Done some modeling today fellas, ill gather some pics and post later. Thanks for the chat last night Cee Bee. I really felt good today and the bench felt Just Right!

Slow progress since end of last week. 4 yr old had an ear infection, pink eye, then food poisoning over the weekend - and then I end up with a steroid shot and a z-pak for severe bronchitis! But, made a little headway tonight. I wanted to experiment modeling the rolled steel texture for the big armor plates on this kitty and thought I'd experiment with it on the bottom (since if I screw it up, no harm, no foul!) Started with a Mr. Surfacer 500/Mr. Thinner mix and painted on a layer to give it some teeth. After that dried, got out an old brush and stipled it on in a couple of layers. Let that dry for about an hour or so, then sanded it down, taped everything off and hit it with Mr. Surfacer Primer 1000. After that dried, I sanded it a bit with a polishing stick. The end result picture doesn't really do it justice - the effect is spot on. I'm a little hesitant though to go the rest of the way with it because of the difficulty of sanding it down around raised detail. Unfortunately the Tamiya kit isn't as "clean" on some areas as a DML kit and has detail molded on instead of detail as parts to attach. Gonna have to sleep on it a night or two before I decide whether to go for it or not. Finished off tonight with a little Mr. Surfacer around the driver's vision port and machine gun to get rid of a little gap I didn't like when I glued everything together. Gonna go knock down the Mr. Surfacer with a q-tip and Mr. Thinner after the post. Later Gents!

Ahh yes those wonderful Fruils . Cant beat em . I cant hardly afford either . But they are almost a necessity on Tigers ! Gary you should take Andy's advice on dress pins cause he uses em a lot on his dresses . Andy ..........

Kyle , true nuff that's going to be a big p.i.t.a. to use that Surfacer on the top hull and turret parts . Good idea to experiment on the bottom like you did .

Oh, some progress on both tiggies Gary, Friuls, I love their look but I hate to assemble them Kyle, the textured hull looks great. You're much braver than me, I have yet to try...

...still haven't decided how brave I might be! LOL! You might try some fine steel wool to polish it down instead of a sanding stick. it should blend things in around the detail.

Nice progress on both Gents! Gary, you should know by now that the best way to get Fruils done is just send them Uncle Tony's Factory and they'll be done in no time.
