Thousands of years ago, in the dark times, you know before the inter web.......... I built my first 1/25th conversion, the Bergepanther ausf A. It was a pretty accurate rendition, my winch assembly was more "fluff" than substance........... So when the kit got broken during a move, I wasn't too heart broken, I actually jumped at the chance to do a much desired "do-over".
Now since I have been working on the beast that is the Ferdinand, I have hit the wall several times over. The Bergepanther is my go to distraction, (yes I know I have the Nashorn and the 1/16th Panzergrenadier, let alone the figures for my "beast"). The cool part is, I already have the spade , and a really good plan for the winch. So that really just leaves the box. This time around I have been doing loads of research and picture collecting. What you see is the end results so far...... The really cool and yet truly sick part is the box sides are designed to open and close, as well as all the platform planking..........
Just thought I would share.......kind of bored this morning and couldn't sleep

Just a quick post. The biggest challenge with this kit is that it is a motorized toy. All the running gear (torsion bars) all need to be replaced. As well as reworking the floor

Very Cool. I have the Tiger Model Designs 1/35 Conversion That I will do one day..(Just like the 1000 kits I have. ) But mine didn't come with the gun so I will have to Scratch build mine. So I'll be watching intently as you proceed with yours.

Thank you for the kind words........
I should explain though..................... the drive unit will only be partly visual. So the detail, isn't 100% accurate, it is more ascetically pleasing...........
More to follow

I'm a big fan of your scratch-work PJ. Loving all that detail that's scattered about on your Bergepanther!
