Thanks Dave. Not sure if I gave any details on that but it was pretty simple. Base coat of Tamiya deck tan. Then a thick(ish) coat of raw sienna artist oil is brushed on. I think that's what I used. But you can use different brown form this shade to darker for different types of wood. All I did then was pull soft flat brush across the surface. A little Japan Dryer is needed to get it to dry. I forgot to do that and this took a couple of weeks to dry enough to even touch it.
