Joe, I really sense you're really wanting some feedback on this one. I wish I could give you more than 'atta boys. I'm just nothing near being a technical expert, so I can't really help. I will say that I think you have a lot of detail packed on there and I think it's a solid amount for this scale. It's going to look great when all done up.

Well folks here I am, much calmer, much more relaxed, very grateful. I am here to proclaim that other than two lines (one for the fuel cell and one for the booster) I am calling the interior done. It is not perfect by any means. I am missing the detail on the exhaust pipes (not going to try it. I will just mess it up). The guns are off in color. There are other things but I am comfortable with it. All comments, critiques, and criticism are encouraged. Joe

Joe, This thing is awesome! Don't be so hard on yourself. The goal here is to create a work of art not a functioning miniature engine. You have succeeded.

I really love your 109 build, but also find it to be somewhat intimidating. Your a better man than I am brother. Yet you know when you finally call this build quits, somebody like ZM will do it<g>! gary

Gary to be honest I have no issue if a company comes along and does one with all the detail. This build is all about the challenge for me. Something that not many do and doing it with my fabricated parts means more to me than if a company decides to bring it out with all the bells and whistles.
I am glad you are liking it, as far as intimidating I think that was part of the appeal to trying this. Never was one that liked doing things the way others did.

Bill you ninja'd in on me. Many thanks. I do believe this will fly now. All the fabrication is done I think and now all is left is to attach kit parts.

Joe I remember looking at the wing build, and it brought back some memories. Those old balsa stick models! The first one was a total failure from the start. Then another and another, till I finally got the frame built. Then it was on to the next nightmare; putting the tissue paper over it. I think I got one completely done. gary

T no paint yet. But worked on the complete wing a bit tonight.
Gary I never built up one with stick and tissue. I guess that this is my version of that type of build.

Good evening Joe, The level of detail you have put into this bird is simply awe inspiring. The only thing that could top what you've done is getting that DB inverted V-12 to turn over and, start purring. Dave

Update. Just a small one. Interior is finished and the fuse is closed. There were some gaps, not sure if it was kit or builder issues. Where I stand. Pardon the pics. I am back to working on taking pictures again. Next up will be sanding some stubborn areas to clean it up and then actual color. I did paint around the cut out area just to make sure I did not bleed over. All comments, critiques, and criticism are encouraged. Joe

Don't expect critiques and criticism from anyone Joe. The work you're doing is the stuff we see in cut away drawings in books and far exceeds the occasional cut away seen in a museum mock-up. Paint is bringing in another entire dimension. I would guess many a 109 pilot has never seen some of the details we see. The closest to a critique I could offer is "Extraordinary!" Rick
