Good morning Joe, The landing gear looks great. The straps for the brake lines are well executed.

I am finished. No, no pics as of yet. They will be a bit delayed.
In the last three weeks I had contacted an editor of a magazine and have been allowed to write up something to submit with the opportunity to have it published. This build was the subject. The editor contacted me and it will be in an upcoming issue. I was told that they wish to have the opportunity to publish the build prior to my posting the finish. That is the delay.
It is my first article published. It is my first build published. I am excited, bouncing off the walls is a better way to put it.

Awesome, Joe. Very well deserved indeed. I know what you're feeling right now enjoy it. Truly a great build. We will just have to wait to see the finished product. Can't wait.

Thanks all for the well wishes.
Last night I thought my post was a good idea. This had been entered into a group build, and had seemed to develop quite a large number of views across the boards and I thought I better update it. Woke up this morning and thought what an ego driven post that was. Call it excitement still from getting the news but still......
Sorry guys, feeling a little embarrassed for making a post like I did. Let my excitement get the best of me. Mind you I want to become a regular contributor to magazines, have had that desire since my teens. Mostly because of the cool factor of seeing my name in print as well as seeing my work published. But I am a realist and that means I realize that I am not a great builder, I am not a very good writer, and put the two together I am very lucky that I was given this opportunity. The opportunity speaks more for the wonderful individuals who shared with me so many great reference materials as well as shared with me some great advice.

Joe, I think most everyone will agree with me...your post was perfectly acceptable. It's ok to be excited about this opportunity. It's well deserved and we are excited to be able to share it with you. That's the great thing about this place. It's very supportive and encouraging.

All good brotha...you should be tickled pink!! Congrats on the soon to be publication!! Hot Damn!! Well deserved!! As for the Mom...there is always a way to skin that cat. If you take 3 pics that won't be submitted I think you will be okay!! Even change the backdrop to another color if you wanted would work.

Gotta agree with what's already been said. The pre-installed pics made it clear it was going to be a looker. Nothing wrong with getting it published. And nothing wrong with the post either.

honestly, the one thing that still bugs me about this build is where and how did you come up with all the internal data of the bf109G10? Short of cutting the real thing apart, I'm still stunned. The quality of the build is typical for you, and yet may well be the best you've ever done to my eyes.
This build is so stunning, that I would be looking for an oil leak on the blotter under the nose of the air frame.
what's next Joe? gary

I cannot express how grateful I am to all and the kind words and encouragement.
Gary that was the easy part. I asked some folks who I knew had expertise in German aircraft and they provided me with a ton of information. There were also several websites that provided visual stimulation. Next up immediate is to finish off the Huey. I hope to have construction done at club meeting tonight. Soon to be started is something more in my comfort zone. 1/48 B-17G "Chowhound". It will be a partial cutaway in that the fuselage will be opened up but not the wing.
