Whoa...that's the first time I have seen a figure set that actually includes the tank they are sitting on.
Very cool, will be watching this!

I'm in on this one too. I love what you do with these 72scale kits. I did this same kit and markings not too long ago. Sweet little kit, you're gonna love it. Are you going to put the outer piece of the mud guard on the wrong side like in that photo?

Hi guy's thanks for dropping in and sorry about the late reply .... So yeah we have progress ............. I have fix both hull parts together , broke out the running gear and scratch built the forward periscopes . The tracks are dry fitted hence there is no sag , gonna get the running gear painted so I can move forward with the build .

Thanks Andy , Dupes , the figures are great ...probably the best 72nd figures in styrene . I have used a few on other builds but wont be using them here .. I have some white metal figures for this one .

Man, you're flying on this one D. Let's see that paint job Dude. Sorry bud its only the running gear , always paint that before I move onto the upper hull .... seems easier to me in this scale

Can definitely see the advantages to knocking out the paintwork on the suspension/lower hulls first on these little guys...especially if you're attaching fenders/skirts over them. Looking good so far Deano.

Hi Deano ... Great subject and great start .. 222 has probably the most pictures of all the 501st KTs .. The camo is very interesting on this KT being both hard edge and soft edged at the same time .. This was one of the tanks that was supposed to go to the 509th but was rerouted to the 501ss for the Ardennes offensive. Probably the repainting of the numbers was reason for the strange camo . If you want I can post quite a few pictures of her here for you..let me know if you're interested..
all the best Rick

another great Deano build, nice stuff so far mate. I love the photo of 222 Guy posted, it's an interesting one because I haven't seen modelled it like on the photo: look at it's left front fender (our right) ^^
Cheers

I do believe it is just the outside piece of the fender put on upside down ... It seems to have been done a few times on different KTs.. strange!!
