Man! In the time it takes me to figure out the rear end of the vehicle, Todd does his suspension, lower hull, the engine, transmission and half the interior.
Someone remind me again why I chose to build the same kit as him??!!
I'll update y'all in the morning. Going to wind down with some Disorono on ice and Burn Notice on Netflix...

Updates from three guys in a day... this is going to be great! This is why I love short duration GBs...and the "single-thread" format! Feels a lot more like a group.

Jeez Louise you guys are really turning up the heat. love the MG barrel. Gotta get me one of those. Interior work slowly continues. Pin washes with AK dark wash the stumped, what Mig calls it, (aka blended ) I leave the brush on the dirty side and pull the grime down over the rest of the walls to start the...er...well... griming process and the PE ammo racks with ammo. All the talk about how nice the Tristar kits are, here an example. The straps on the ammo cans are molded with the open space underneath. And brother are they tiny.

You've been holding out on us, Wingy!!!
Now I'm 100% fine with my decision to scrap the interior on mine - even with all of the Eduard bits it wouldn't look like the Tristar set.

have I lost my ability to search for AM stuff? Is there PE for the "B"? I find lots of fenders for the E and higher but nothing for a "B".

I can't imagine it's very different, is it? My book describing the differences is downstairs and I'm marathoning Friuls right now so I can't go get it. Heh.

Seems a shame to have all that nice detail and then fenders that scale up to over 2' thick.

Alrighty, I've got some more! Doesn't LOOK a lot different, but I got the odious hours-long Friul-assembly chore all knocked out. On to the turret!

OMG dupes that looks really great. Love the way the tracks drape over the rollers and wheels. But I have to ask... really took hours? I have to see if i still have the pics of the jog I use and how I drill out all the holes in rapid succession. I've done 2 runs of track in under 40 minutes. And ditto on the price.

Under 40 minutes? Wow. You've got me beat! A lot of these needed drilling...so many that I just drilled out each pair as I put them together. They're also the smallest ones I've done so far which made them a bit more difficult.
Would still like to see the jig for future reference, though!

I have been using the Track Wire from ArmorFarm. It does cost $12.50 for just some lengths of wire but they are straight, there is enough to do at least 4 to five sets and best of all strong enough to push right through the soft white metal. I am sure I could dig up something free or even cheaper to use but the cost and readiness of the product outweighs the time and effort in making my own...quick and dirty!! Marc...would love to see the jig you made!! Sound like a real time saver!!
