Awesome additions. The Dinah really turned out great. Such and odd looking aircraft, but a really cool one to look at. Have to love all that glass.

dupes - i envy your performance... How is it possible to make such high quality models so quickly?

Thanks fellas!
I agree about the Dinah, Jimmy. Although I prefer the look of this one over the other variant with the lumpy canopy. This one is much more aero and sleek looking.
Serzh - laserlike focus! And, honestly, confidence in my techniques. I've got assembly, painting, and decaling down pretty well. Weathering is another story, but hey...room to improve!

Another nice trio of additions Dupes! I do remember that Leopard...it's been waiting patiently for a long time! Love the look of that Sherman too, nothing to worry about in the weathering department IMHO.

Yeah, that was supposed to be a quickie build...instead it got stretched out to a year and a half! Doing what I can right now to plow through the shelf queen pile - got three on my bench right now. THEY WILL GET DONE

Couple more pulled from the shelf of doom and added to the case! First up - 1/72 Dragon 251/22. Had this thing completely built and primed...never made up my mind what kind of scheme I wanted. Picked one and ran with it.

Second one is the fairly ancient Tamiya 250/9. Had lots of spare Dragon halftrack bits laying around so I incorporated as many of them as I could. Wish I had left the rear door operable as you can't see a THING I did to the interior - including the driver! Couple of pieces of Verlinden stowage to cover up bare parts of the fenders. This one sat built and painted with no tracks for a couple of years. Finally bit the bullet and assembled the kit link-and-length parts as I couldn't get either the Hobby Boss indies or DML Magic Tracks to fit. Turns out they don't look half bad under a bit of weathering!

Hahaha...sorry to disappoint, T - but I've got three more this time! First up is Airfix's 1/350 HMS Turbulent. Another great new tool from these guys. Went together easily, decals worked well. Just realized as I was taking the pics that one of the two masts (the aft one) is gone - must have lost it on the way to/from my club meeting. Will need to scratch a replacement!

Next is another Battletech kit. This one is by a guy in England (SMTK). Based on the Mechwarrior Online designs, the scaling is definitely off...I'd say this is closer to 1/72 than the 1/60 it's supposed to represent. If (when) you see it in a lineup with other mechs, it's blatantly obvious. Different from all of the other ones I've done, this one started out as a 3d print. You can see all of the print lines - they're quite obvious. This is a few years old, and 3d print tech is much better now. Because of all of those print lines, I wasn't able to use a lot of the usual weathering techniques. Washes are pretty much out, because they have no panel lines to follow - they go pretty much everywhere in the textured surface! Pretty much color modulation and drybrushing are all you can do.

Look at that...one at a time is just not enough! LOL!! 3? Nice!! Well done on all fronts Dupes!! You have to be closing in on your magic number for the year by now!

Yeah, it's just easier to throw up batches of pics, especially when I have to steal some of my wife's precious bandwidth! As far as the magic number - I'll most certainly surpass last year (actually, I just did!), and should have no problem hitting 40 with six weeks still to go...but 50? If I hadn't had the usual "summer gap" I'd say it's possible, but 14 in 42 days might be a bit of a stretch.

Absolutely! Clearing out a lot of the stash (and shelf queens), and I've been doing REALLY well at the shows, so I'm entirely satisfied on that front as well.

Good boy!! Now you just need the fountain of youth to keep you young long enough to build everything in the stash you have!!

Hey, at this pace I'll actually get rid of it all! Assuming I live until 90. And my boy helps out. And I sell some. And I don't buy another kit for the next 50 years.
