Hey, don't apologize to me . If it was anyone else I'd be worried that Jug was never going to make it off the bench, but I think you're a safe bet. I ain't no tank weathering expert, but I agree. It looks spot on and very consistent throughout. Very interesting subject too.

Thanks dudes! This was actually for a review...I'd probably better get that written up. Hey, don't apologize to me . If it was anyone else I'd be worried that Jug was never going to make it off the bench, but I think you're a safe bet. Hahahahaha...right you are sir! Just need to get that canopy re-masked and I can finally get going with the airframe painting.

Hey, thanks Bill! Another queen knocked out. What I wouldn't give to have ALL of them gone by the end of this year!

Another great addition... really like the color modulation on the P-47! Andy - do you think the contrast is enough? I played around with it a bit in the editing software for the pic at the top of this gallery to get it where I liked it...it's a bit less in all of the other pics. Thanks man!

I am sir! Banging out an F-86F (and maybe a large-scale Battlemech) before I let myself crack into a Barbarossa entry.

Since you asked... on the T-34 I think the wheels could stand a light dusting. Those roadwheels look like someone went overboard with the tire black. You can see in the overhead shot that the wheels have a nice shine to them. Seriously, though, I don't believe a tank leaving the factory new would show rubber that clean. And speaking of things being clean, that's got to be one of the cleanest burning diesel engines I've seen, judging from the exhausts. Beyond those two things, the rest of the tank looks really good. Nice job!

They've got MiG kursk earth pigments on them which are VERY dark, coupled with some AK "wet effects" which is accounting for the shine. Exhausts - I added some soot, but not enough. Could certainly use some more!

You could probably drop the "wet efffects" on the wheels. It doesn't really go with the "dry as a bone" looking tracks. Just sooting up the inside of the pipes should do the trick.

It's been 2 days...where's #12? Haha...kidding...you have until tomorrow. Decaling number 12 now, sir! 1/48 single engine jet, 1950s era. British. The big stompy thing is also very close, have to figure out how to replicate reflections on glass with paint (aka "cockpit jeweling" - easy!). Think I should probably put together some sort of base, too.

I hope it's what I think it is. *schoolgirl giggles*

Do you think it's an F-86F? If so, then you're right! If you're guessing something else, well, then I'd better get cracking on some OTHER 1/48 single engine jets / 50s era / British.

Woo hoo!! I was thinking EE Lightning...that new Airfix kit actually...guess it's more of a 60s era though...being introduced in 1959...if you'd like to build that kit I'd be more than open to drooling over it However, I love me some F-86, so I can't really be too bummed about my wrong guess

My only Lightning is 1/32 scale...sorry to disappoint, since I know how much you dislike 1/32 builds.

1/32! The horror. I'm assuming the Trumpy Kit? I saw one a few years back at a show that was foiled. One of the most beautiful things I ever did see. Of course, I can't fathom why someone would foil a model anymore...because Alclad...but it was nice. I can send you a roll of Reynolds
