I saw the 1/35th kit of this and just had to build a 1/16th version. been working on this some time ,don't get that much bench time recently but it's coming along. bill

Thanks for the kind comments guys!!!! the rifling was done by first making the barrel from a bicycle tyre pump, the tube was a perfect fit for the barrel internal diameter less the rifling.I increased the outside diameter of the tube by wrapping spirals of 10mm wide x.75 mm card strips.The rifling is .5mm card cut into .5mm strips and glued at an angle to a very thin card shim which was cut to fit the internal diameter of the barrel. This increased the barrel thickness to the correct dimension when the thickness of the rifling was included.I counted the grooves on the prototype and spaced the strips. Once dry the card was slipped into the barrel and cemented in place. A thick disc of thin shim was cemented over the end of the barrel to cover the black bicycle pump tube. this easy to do in 1/16 scale, may be more tricky in 1/35.......read very tricky !!!!!!!!! Bill

Thanks Leon..1/16 scale does take up a fair amount of room!!! and plastic card!!! I added acouple of handwheels and a few nuts and bolts today. I have the trunnion tops made and now have the large hex bolts to make for them. bill
