Hi all! Sorry it's been so long. I got into USC's film school and it's kept me busy, and restrained mostly to a dorm room without flat surfaces or my model supplies. I'm home briefly for the summer and get to do a few kits hopefully. Here's the first-  This is the Orion from 2001: A Space Odyssey from Moebius Models. It's my first experiment with custom decals as the kit lacked the famous PanAm logo. It's not perfect but I'm happy with it, and plan to give it to my mentor professor from undergrad, who is a huge Kubrick/2001 fan. Rather than weathering I'm keeping it clean for his desk. Here's a photo mimicking the lighting from its shot in the film:  Hopefully I'll have time while I'm home to at least start the other kit-  I hope all has been well for everyone here! |
