delta: lol, you are right.. you have to scroll back to the top, to see the model here and there... i think mainly this post develops to a dio build with a minor model addition... ;-) by the way, thanks for your positive feedback kiwibelg: this is the same i thought. the tall grass is a little bit too dense... the colour will be some green, blending in the overall green tones i used so far... ahh, and are you sure that your bench is still on your terrace??? :-) and not besides the pond here... ;-) i would appreciate some more opinions about the tall grass... maybe only just to justify my lazyness not changing it again... but i am not quite happy with it...

I agree with Shay on thinning out the grass, particularly in the middle areas. Grass that grows that tall tends to have more separation between the stalks as the plant grows upward it needs more 'room' to support it if you understand what I'm trying to say?

yes, i agree totally with both of you... i have to go back to the workbench and change it... now i am unsure if i should color it before gluing it to the base or brush it when it stands on the base... i think i have to try it out tonight...

what i still have to figure out is, handling and holding the tiny parts... my "third hand" helpers clamp has to much pressure for the tiny parts... :-( and applying the right amount of solder paste is not easy sometimes... :-)

Mate, admiring your dedication to this diorama!!! Going for the extra fine details can be a pain in the butt....sometimes a little trial and error is needed to get to where we need to be!! Rome wasn't built in a day! Keep up with the persistence Coro, Shay

hey shay, the problem is, when you realize, that a dio that was just planned for "try and error" turns out with some quality, you have to keep up the quality in all aspects of it... at least trying it... in my opinion. also i get addicted building diorama... building the models is just a part of it.
and yes the extra fine details are a pain in the ass... today i screwed up the lid of the ammunition box. luckily there is one more in the pe kit... :-)

Nice work on the ammo! As for soldering, it's all about finding what works best and running with it. Lots of different ways to tackle that part of working with PE for sure.

Is that a Flak on your truck or are you just happy to see the morning? Nice way to add a different touch to the scene.
