Hey Nic, hope everything is ok with you and your health problems do not have overtaken! Seems that some guys here suffer from stuff and remember, it always can get better! You have made a real cool progress on this one and it looks better and better. I really wish, you will sometimes paint a well sculpted figure, anatomically correct, with all those details one can expect. It is really cool to see you getting it all out of those not so good sculpted stuff. So to say, you make diamonds out of rust!
And some news for you: I have started a 75mm Pegaso HISTORICAL figure. Almost finished the prepping and priming and will start painting sometime in the future!
Cheers Bro,
Frank

Thanks Frank for your kind words! I've had too a unconfortable time, but I'm ok now and get some schedule in order to make progress. Hope that all our friends could pass over and come back healthy and good humour! Great news about your project, can't wait to see it. Cheers! Nicolae

Have to make some new pics the next days, from the Skeleton King, too, as you wanted to see some more details.

Hi my friends! This is the END...dixit the Doors. Well, not exactly, because I've still had to resolve some details and add a label. Some photos for you! I'm not so pleased entirely, but this is what I've got. Any critique, advice before fnishing it, most welcome. Cheers! Nicolae

Looks good from here Nic! As for not being 100% satisfied, that's how I feel about all my work too...it's a consequence of having spent so much time with it to begin with and knowing all the little subtle flaws that cropped up along the way I think. We are often our own worst critics.

Thank you, Leon, I'll put in August the final poses with this figurine finished, after I'll return from a small vacance with my family at the Black Sea. Cheers, Nicolae

Thank you, Ron, too kind of you. Yeah, it's too much, but it's Thermopylae, isn't it?

And with the label added, I can declare: "This is SPARTA!". Well, not exactly, as one of my French fellows said to me, these Hoplites from Lokros retired after the first encounters with Persians, so they didn't take part to the last and bloody battle. I didn't know this detail untill now, so this is my version under the title (in Greek on the label)"Death to the Barbarians". With my excuses for lacking a good historical documentation, I hope to have succeeded, at least at a minimum level, to catch something of the atmosphere of that heroic passed times. Cheers, Nicolae
