I do have a soft-spot for Panzer IVs, and yours is one of the best I've seen! I'm currently beating an old Italeri PzKpfw IV F2 into submission - it's already taken longer than your build, but it is a bit of a blank canvas detail-wise.
Cheers, Dierk

Thanks Dierk, glad you like the PzIV-C. It was a fun (but long) project to pull together and I had fun working with the turret interior to add some details here and there. The Pz IV was the workhorse and doesn't always get the glamor of the big-cat vehicles but that's life sometimes. Keep plugging away on your Italeri, it's not about the time it takes so much as ensuring you enjoy the process!

Thanks for the encouraging words Bill, being a relative newbie the Italeri kit is my most ambitious project to date - I have to admit there are long periods where I have to put it back in its box when the urge to hit it with a hammer becomes overwhelming ;D It's going to be a Russian captured one, with all the equipment and tools stripped off - so lots of empty clamps and clasps. Is your Bison carrying so much water because the crew knew it to be so unreliable that it wouldn't run long enough to drain its gas tank? Cheers, Dierk

Dierk, That sounds like a great plan for the Pz IV! The Bison II was horribly unreliable...even though there were 24 of them, they used half for spares to keep the other half in running condition more times than not. Bison II carried a crew of 4, so 30 gallons of water in the desert wouldn't take them very far but I'm sure they took some comfort in the event of a break down!

Andy, better get cracking...but then you include figures on your build so you have an excuse. Dicky, I'll probably manage at least 1 more this year, depending. NFL football season starts up in a month so that always steals time away from me on the weekends when that's going on. I've managed to match my output so far to that of last year so that's good at least. Spud, no, I had decided not to put the Schurzen on based on the reference photo of the vehicle I had as I liked the look of it without the plates and wanted to show off more of the slab sides with the zim pattern. Thanks for the comments as always!

MF, thanks for the comments, I'm leaning towards an Sdkfz 251/22 as my next victim of choice.
Gary, the Bison II is one I'd recommend adding to the stash...you'd enjoy it!

251?!?!?! I don't think I have seen you build one since my return to the hobby three years ago or so. It should be fun to follow...
