LOLOLOLOL! Terry, I can wait for you so we can do a duel? I really need to finish the bust anyway before I turn my bench into a very messy one for next two months or so. Do you think I should order cockpit upgrade set too? I am still undecided at this moment. Hey I can pull the trigger whenever you're ready! I have a few more things to aquire.....engines.......nose interior......IP and seatbelts... There is a lot of glass up there.....seat belts for sure...maybe a new IP.

I thought so... I will take a good look at the kit over the weekend. The interior uprooted is $30 alone... jeez!

Andy, you can get good deal for P.E for whole details for this kit, it called Big Ed, including interior, bomber door, rear gunner etc about 7 details I think. The cost is hundred buck instead of individual P.E. But it worth? I can't predict how much we can view the interior details? No idea about that.

My guess is that on the J at least you aren't going to get a whole lot seen through the main canopy once it's painted up and installed. Now the 'greenhouse' nose on the D is a different story altogether! Nice to see you getting some goodies in the mail Andy, you've had your annual Florida recharge, time to get cracking!

Deaf, if you are going to add all the stuff to the kit, this will be the hell of a build and I wait eagerly for your start. Yes, the HELL OF A BUILD!!

Terry- I am with you... I caved in and placed order for more PE sets today. LOL Details coming up in a minute. Either we will do a duel or we will do a GB if we have enough interest. Thanks buddy for the push! LOL
Aero- I WISH! That's what I wanted to order at first place but it has been discontinued. DANG IT! I looked everywhere even on eBay but no luck. I agree with you it may be cheaper to buy that set than buying five or six different sets separately. I bought three more sets tonight... LOL Appreciate you letting me know... thanks!
Bill- Thanks professor! I took a real good look at the main canopy, I think you are right it will be pretty visible. My wife is not going to be happy when she discover I spent another $65 on that old kit. But she understands... one of biggest drawbacks building an outdated kit.
Leon- And I had to order more tonight! LOLOLOLOL
Frank- Thanks man! First I really need to finish that bust... its like 90% complete. LOL I am afraid B-24 thing will take me a while to build it! LOL
Carl- Believe me it is always great hearing from you my friend. Happy to have you aboard too!

Andy,
I was surprised that you mentioned it discontinued, I checked on website and there is only for B-24D not J... B-24D is still selling and have Big ED for "D". I was tempted to get B-24D but I already got another 7 kits...

Yes, I don't understand why they are still selling for B-24D only but not B-24J. What other 7 kits do you have? Want to do a group build with us? LOL

Geez, deaf not enough, Andy? Now you're trying to go blind, too? That sure is a big mess of PE to be squeezed in that tiny space!

That's definitely going to add some weight to the nose...and time to your total build effort Andy! Should be a fun and complex project for sure. Given how old the J kit is it doesn't surprise me that the Eduard mega-set might be OOP.

Nice progress! PE improves the model a lot. There are some aftermarket staff for B-24 from Vector company, for ex. wheel's wells.

Guys- This month is the busiest time at work... I will be glad when it will be over in a week or two. Thanks for taking your time to post comments! Four more PE sets arrived last week so I am almost all set. LOL Now I am thinking about ordering resin propellers set. They look NICE!!! Kit propellers are so ugly...

Duel or GB works for me. Let's Roll! Terry- AWESOME! Let's do the duel... I better get busy and finish the bust then we are good to go! OK? Aero- Buffalo wings? Oh that's my weakness... I grew up in Buffalo, NY did you know that? LOL Carbine Bob- Not yet... soon I will tackle those PE sets! Wish me luck... Todd- I will probably wear sunglasses more for this. See you in few days! You all packed for Auburn I hope!!! AFV Bob- Now you are scaring me... I hope they fit well inside! LOL Frank- I made you cry? Hope not even tho you make me cry every time I look at your work! LOL Bill- I am glad you mentioned about the nose weight!!! I forgot about that part... need to get me some lead balls at local gun shop. The list seems to grow and grow for this build! Carl- I definitely will not do the bomber bay... they do offer PE set for that part and it really SCARES me. No thanks! I will keep the bay closed... bogreen- B-52 in 1/48?!?!? Now you are talking!!! That would be nice... George- Thank for the tip... will check it out! LOL Marc- Still wishing I went for 1/72 instead of 1/48. [Banging my head]

Do you think I should order cockpit upgrade set too? Well that's a dumb question... I don't even have to read ahead in the thread to know what the answer to this will be!
