Before I forget, here's the results of last weekend's show (my only spring show this year, it turns out).



That's 5x firsts, 10x seconds, and a lone third in the back row. Overall, not too shabby!

April wasn't a great month for bench time, hoping I can shake that off in May (but it's not historically one of my better months!). Just gotta keep plugging away.

Next up - Tamiya's 1/48 N1K1 Shiden (or "George" to our side). Japanese Navy, WWII. Didn't add anything to this one - straight OOB.

Hey, thanks for the George comments fellas! Sadly, my internet situation keeps getting worse and worse...meaning my forum time is less and less all the time (currently I'm at the library stealing wi-fi so I can browse).

Still building a bunch, though, so I'll try to get some pics up this weekend of the recent completions.

Sooooo...I'm a bit behind in updating my build roster. Like, two months behind! Long story, my stepdad died back in May and it's turned pretty much everything sideways for a while. Think I'm getting a handle on stuff, though, so I should be able to get pics of things rounded up and posted, and maybe even start to catch up to proper build pace. The Flak Stuart is something like number 22 or 23 - will have to check. Updates as soon as I can get them sorted!

Thanks Bill! Mostly hard on my Mom...had to get her into a nursing home. Next up is trying to sell her house before the tax collectors come rolling around. That'll be easy, right?

And the mojo hasn't really been the issue - I've got a wad of unposted completions - it's mostly just been time issues that have been keeping me from posting them up (and maintaining my nutty build pace). I'll get it all squared away!

Hah...I was actually editing pics in between phone calls at work today. Added another one to the finished pile in the interim, too! Bunch more set to go before the fall shows, so I need to get caught up here pronto.

Here we go! I'm on a roll getting caught up tonight. Only going to do a couple of pics for each build, but this will get numbers 16 through 24 "on the books".

#16 - Cosmos Models Lancer Frigate:





#17 - Revell 1/72 Draken. This kit is circa 1968 or so (unbeknownst to me when I bought it!).





#18 - Monogram 1/48 F-19 Stealth. This was their attempt at capitalizing on Testor's F-19 kit success in the late 80's.

#19 - this one was not for the display case...it gets flown around the house quite frequently by a little boy. Haha. 1/100 Zvezda kit that somewhat resembles an F-18 from "Planes".





#20 - you guys probably saw this in the MoM a couple of months ago. 1/35 Academy and Trumpeter kits as the basis of a Yugoslav Flak Stuart variant.

#21 - Cromwell Models Type-69II tank. Mostly a big hunk o' resin that required a lot of drilling, sanding, and grinding. Unfortunately their kits don't come with any markings...in this case it didn't matter.





#22 - Reaper Mini CAV Dictator. Game piece for one of the Battletech-y miniatures variants.

#23 - I really like this one. 1/20 Nitto Krote (Maschinen Krieger). Left as many panels and options open as possible. I really need to get some more lights to photograph all of the various nooks and crannies!

LOL DUPES... I have both Dusty Crophoppers, El Chupacabra, Ryker, and a couple of others! Dusty 1, with wheels is now hopelessly in pieces. Chups not far off, and the rest I am NOT helping my 3 year old put together till he takes a little better care of them LOL

Mmmmmmm...sexy time! 1/72 Trumpeter Su-27UB kit converted to an Su-30MK from the Indonesian Air Force (it wasn't hard - early block Su-30 makes the exterior virtually identical to the 27UB). This kit went together great - which is good, because I have a lot of other Trumpeter Su-27 variants waiting in the stable.

Hahaha...when I built this it was with full awareness that it would most likely not survive a full week! Pics were taken before it was handed over to the little guy.

Love your work Dupes. That Su-27 and the Nitto Krote are my favourites. That F-18 from planes is something I need to pick up for my little boy for defs.
