I would be interested depending on the duration of the build. My military schedule keeps me very busy so projects tend to take awhile. I will watch this topic and see what develops.

I'm up for it...whether I build something or only sanction the GB itself...LOL!! I am sure there will be plenty of other folks wanting to join in on the festivities! Should be a blast! With that, we can work out a start date, rules and any other blahbity-blah blah stuff and get the ball rolling! I would be interested depending on the duration of the build. My military schedule keeps me very busy so projects tend to take awhile. I will watch this topic and see what develops. In the interest of keeping things to the FUN side of the ledger...typically we might run a build out 8 months to a year...we have also been know to keep it open ended to allow some folks, like yourself, the opportunity to have fun with the rest. We makes the rules as we go...your service is certainly an acceptation to any rules that would ever pop up!

(Cut and paste from TRM's thread about the rules.)
I'm in! But before I scratchbuild one of these at 1/35, does anybody know if Dragon plans to add this to their line of 1/35 Star Wars vehicles? Building something from scratch is always the best way to prompt one of the big factories to make it a kit. Also....Is there any rumor about Dragon doing a set of stormtroopers? Sculpting and casting my own will be a Pn-In-Th-Ess.

John, you gave me a heart attack because I thought this might be from a kit!! Dragons second phase is not official yet, I think, they will come up with more infos at the Nuremberg Toy Fair. And I have thought of sculpting Stormtroopers in 1:35 some time as Multiple pose kit. As a classic Blaster we could use an MG34 as used in the Tatooine scenes, but the classic imperiums blaster scratch?
Possible ideas are a Stormtrooper on a Dewback, a Speederbike in 1:35 (maybe a bit re-designed), some kind of Snowspeeder for other landscapes or check out the STAR WARS art books for some original designs. I think, the possibilities are endless...

This will be my kit for the GB. Knight Models 70mm Gamorren Guard..I'm also tempted to start on the Bandai speeder bike but with so much stuff on the bench...

I know the problem Shay...the ever growing pile of half finished kits on a bench becoming too small, and ideas growing simultaniously.
This is the year of finishing half finished projects, also the year of not purchasing more kits.
Time for updating threads sinking away here on MSCF.
This GB however is a must join as Star Wars is hyperspace hot these days !

So true. Besides the Ha-Go, the "Battle of Pillow Creek" and the half finished T-34 diorama, I started another project. No WIP this time (too little time). Just saying "Games Workshop GB" and its motto is "BE AFRAID!". Hrmmmmm..... 70% done so far, and 30 to go. :/ Dont know if I have the time to start a SW related project too. But Im very happy that the idea was given a chance and Id like to wish YOU as many fun as you can get.

That's just not fair! I've got a stack of shelf-queens, a stash full of tempting kits mostly with a ton of AM - and now you go and tempt me with this GB...it appears the force is strong in this one (don't bother groaning, done it already ) So, as the start date is set I think there should be an end date - maybe next year, or the year after, so long as it's May the fourth (be with you)

JA! The moment I have read this I was sure to see this in some elder books! Maybe improving an actual kit from Tamiya? I guess, the Sterling would be in some British Paras kit, or Dragon.
Thanks man,
Frank

You'll want the " Modern Light Weapon Kit" No. 421 by Italeri. The Sterling is a post war model, developed from the WWII Sten gun.
