Looks perfectly, but... too dry. As though there were in depot several years. Still old and fresh greasing is necessary. It is possible to apply Wilder NL-34 Murky Water to fresh/damp greasing. Sorry, AG Thanks Martin and Leon. Not an impressive update, I added more grease to the moving parts but there still is some work to do. Best regards ! AG.

Looking good Guy - if a little restrained for my taste. There's a Wilder pigment called 'Old Grease' that wold be perfect for this.

AG, today to me delivered the new book from AK Interactive - Trainspotting. In the book there are a lot of very useful tips. Probably, it will be interesting to you to get acquainted with her. link

Martin, thanks for the tip my friend, that certainly looks like a very interesting book and a help for future train builds. Steve, no worries, I know the drill as I have a garden to take care of too, something I really enjoy a lot as an alternative for this hobby. Feel free to pop in whenever you like fella. Bill, thanks but no sink throwing here lol ! However I keep building up layer after layer. I'm having a great time doing this kind of jobs. wing-_nut, thanks ! Time for another grease layering update... Suddenly I saw what I forgot to do, to paint the brake-blocks as they're not painted. For the blocks I mixed oil paint Raw Umber + enamel Humbrol Gun Metal + a bit of Metal pigments. I then fiddled along with my grease mixtures to obtain more playful effects using reference pics (I can't do without them). Yes, more grease to come...I hope you keep hanging in, this might be boring for you guys ? Best regards ! AG.

Thanks Leon ! Tomorrow the body will be glued onto the chassis, and finally I can start airbrushing on the black.

No, no airbrushing action yet... I noticed a riveted strip on the reference photo below and now I'm adding this one too, made of Evergreen. Maybe tomorrow some black, if I won't find other missing details.

Don't you just love finding additional details in references while the build is already well under way?

Thank you gents. Dierk, of course it's fun to add an extra detail to a build but I prefer to do that before I'm getting in the airbrushing mode. Bill, I'm afraid that's the impression I'm giving... Leon, I keep them coming, tomorrow there will be fecking paint I promise. Yesterday's work on the strips and rivets.

Let's hope so Leon. After masking (which took me a couple of hours) I sprayed on Tamiya Gloss Black, three thin layers. The roof was completed with a gutter made of strip styrene. More paint will fly the coming days. Best regards ! AG.

Now the colors are coming together. As for grease and oil, there's gonna be plenty of grease monkey marks on this one I'm thinkin. The weathering will be the Grand finale.
Cheers, Ski.

Thank you guys, it feels great to work with black after my "red period". These two colors make a great combination and I'm glad I picked this color version. Today I die a lot of masking and airbrushing hatches. The airbrushed parts, the effect has to be subtle. Decals... There's much more paintwork to do before I can seal off for dust streakings, a bit of rust, sun bleach effects etc...oh yeah this is only foreplay ! Best regards ! AG.

Hi gents, today I managed to brushpaint the rivets in a slightly lighter shade of black, I also painted the taillights inside with Humbrol enamel chrome. Tomorrow the headlights will be done. Pics follow. Best regards ! AG
