So I put the vehicle aside for a few days..... And have been working on accessories. In this case two "trinkenwasser" containers, a damaged Jerrycan and a hot rations container. Later i will cast several of these for this project.

Leon, Dierk, TRM and Bruce.... Thank you very much. I always hope to live up to the work you all produce
As for the stuff, I think stowage is just as important as the vehicle itself..... My challenge, not just with this build but all my scratch's is: I don't want the viewer to think I'm hiding something. Remember when we we're "lil" modelers, there were times we hid our mistakes with a tarp or masses of boxes..... If you go back to the Ferdinand, I stressed about the camouflage net on the barrel.... an old trick to hide the poor work on the seems.... As for the Ausf L, I am trying to find Shep Paine's fabled "balance vs symmetry"... I want the view to see that this is a 1/25th scratch, but at the same time, show that it is a German tank on the eastern front... Anywho...thank you again for the kind posts.......

Joel, Thank you......
So here is more on the stowage....you'll note that I've left off some details. These are either details that don't cast very clean, or I want to have options...Like the little 3 liter Trinkenwasser doesn't have the cap on, so I can use it in the open position....

Remember when we we're "lil" modelers, there were times we hid our mistakes with a tarp or masses of boxes..... Now I do it with mud and weathering Or simply avoid taking pictures of the offending areas "Trinkwasser" containers look excellent, as does the rest of your work!

So here is the first steps on the rear engine decking. OKAY, mockingbirds out there, (you know who you are!!!), the decking is going to be 60-70 percent covered in gear. Much like Leon's really cool Stug III... So when I laid out the design, I allowed for mistakes..... When i finally get around to the Bergepanzer III, I have open engine decking

S o here is why I'm not really worried aboooot the engine decking....... With the turret skirts affixed you really won't see more than shapes........

Gentleman, you know I appreciate your kind posts.... Thank you
Dierk, no translation gaff can ever beat..."Icn bien eine Berliner"...

Actually, no gaffe on the part of JFK when he said 'ich bin ein Berliner' - just atrocious pronunciation - it's only in the rest of Germany that a 'Berliner' is a doughnut, whereas in Berlin a doughnut is called a 'Pfannkuchen' . Don't ever go into a Berlin bakery asking for two doughnuts - they'll think you're after a menage a trois
