You're doing great on the reconfiguring PJ, no sweating it out, just a Ruck On Bby.
Hey, I'm a figure guy too, so ya better snap to it Troop! Bahahaaaaaaaa, just kiddin. The more you do the easier it gets. I'm liking everything I see here. Thx for keeping us in the loop, Amigo.
Cheers, Ski.

So, I'm back working on the actual vehicle. Spent the morning going over the upper hull with 600 grit sandpaper. No, I'm not even close to painting, BUT I just wanted to get a jump on cleaning the chassis. Afterwards I started mounting the front spaced armour. For those that aren't familiar with this, maybe think back to the 1970's Tamiya PzIII offering. Their spaced armour, was one single-piece with darn near NO detail(s). Now the 30mm Frontal spaced armour had 5mm top and side armour, I think the concept was to keep infantry from dropping anti-armour grenades or mines down the top/sides of this... So here is my version

Thanks Bill.......
So today I've been working on details, you know the nitty gritty. In this case the missing nuts/rivets/bolts along the upper hull. Plus I finished the front spaced armour plates, and a wee bit of painting...... Additionally, I really wanted to add the second antenna and base. Seems, the collapsing antenna was a great idea, UNLESS you really needed to communicate......

So, most of these MAY be seem to be re-posts, but they are actually cleaner and have more details. I do apologize if this seems redundant, see when you scratch the whole build is constantly evolving. By this I mean constantly adding details. Check the Turret stowage-bin. I added hinge details and clasp clean up.
Just for the record, my stated goal has always been to complete the upper hull BEFORE I began the lower half. Reason being, on both the Lynx and Ferdinand, I rushed to start the lower hulls and really had a devil of a time going back and trying to figure out how I did this or that......

So I lied about the updates...sue me.............
Here is the engine vent screen. I still prefer the soft fabric mesh, say from Tamiya's Flakvierling. Cut, soak in a solution of white-glue and warm water, then place in position and let dry:

You'll do fine with the lower hull PJ, nothing to worry about! You can always just tip it on its side like Dierk and no one will think twice about it.

Bill, M1, Bruce.... Thank you all very kindly.
I have been "puttering" with the Ausf L the last couple of days. In that time I have become aware of a concept which I am more than guilty of.... Since I am building it in stages, with no real instruction sheet to follow or "guided pathway" to follow I have found that as I look at some sub-assembly's I see where I tried to BS my way through. A great example is the rear mufflers. As I looked them over I found myself in horror at the lack of detail(s). I could clearly see where I tried just to get through, or BS my way through.... NOT happy with that so................. Updates to follow
Thank you gentleman again

PJ, the only thing that I see that would need to be "corrected" is the pipes that feed in to the mufflers need to be bent and go through the back plate. HTH, Joel.
