So, as I sat down and began pondering this build. There was one sub-assembly or part if you will, that I was really looking forward to. BUT at the same time had serious trepidations about..... And that was or is the turret stowage box. With all it's angles and weird shape. I really wasn't sure how I would pull it off. And no I don't have a vac-u-form, otherwise no problem right?

Well here is the first 2 attempts... you can see that the first was WAY OFF. and the second is coming along nicely. Only half the shape is
shown here. I've got a trick or two for the waist bulges that the box has. PLEASE note, that the box is literally filled with Zap on purpose:

So while the bulk of this build is "swathed" in green stuff, I thought I'd just play with the gun breach and elevation details...... NOW for all the FINE IPMS folks checking in.....the bulk of the interior details are as the GREAT Shap Paine would label, "shapes that match the interior". My goal was NEVER to do a complete interior build, since crew figures will be blocking the view......

Well, this time I blame insomnia and my attorney.............. So the other day my attorney called and wanted to talk....and I do mean talk. So I did a foolish thing...I put my headset/hands free system on............. Well as he babbled, I semi instinctively reached for something to occupy my hands. You guessed it the turret to the Mark III. Next thing I knew I was sanding, filling and detailing. Forgetting the Fledermaus entirely. So that was bad, yes, I agree. THEN i had a big bout with insomnia.....Next thing I know I'm reworking the traverse gear system and mount, putting details to the 5.cm KWK L40 and working the turret storage bin mount...................... I am PJ2, I'm a model-aholic

Well, I got really motivated today on the Commanders Vision Blocks for the Cupola.... Going into this build they were what I thought would be the coolest thing, since the hauptman will be standing on the turret hatches, offering a prime view of these. I am super happy with where they are and where their gonna be after just a lil more tweeking..........
