Looking fine brotha'! Yes, the "cool kids" are back! WTF? LOL Loving the clean busy look to all of this! Nice fix on the vent...John has one of the best pair of eyes amongst us! And he covered exactly what yourself and he have brought up before..."constructive criticism" and....wait for it........THE RIGHT WAY TO DO IT!!! Keep up the great work! BTW, even entered as a WIP, this would do pretty good at the AMPS show!

Well here is a great example of the affect of "constructive feedback" from our peers........... A couple of days ago J posted a query about the ventilator atop the "L". He had no idea that I had been stewing on just that very subject since starting this build.....(we've all done it..you know..."oh I'll get back to that in a lil while..). Anyway after I changed the vent cover to something a little more authentic... I got to re-dwelling on the Mantlet Gun housing. This area has been a major pain in the A$$. Mostly because I cut parts by hand...no fancy-dancy new fangled cutters here...LOL So trying to coordinate the gun housing and the 5mm armour plate was a bit tricky.... especially since it has different angles...that is it isn't a straight forward cut.For the picture, prior to checking my progress with paint...I TOTALLY cheated..... I used something that was complete BS and I knew it.....So after J's post i really had to talk myself "off the ledge". Well after much thought about, how his post actually being a great push forward and NOT a swift kick.... I went ahead and redid this area............ THANKS J for the great motivation.....There's also a couple of shot of the interior........

Thank you my friend.
Turns out that the gun cover is crocked..... I am off kilter by 1mm on the right side......(Now kids remember when looking at the picture it's the opposite side. That's what we used to call the "patients right side")... So today or tomorrow it's surgery for the Ausf L

Wingnut....THANK YOU.
Well the weekend was grey and cloudy so.............. I went off on a huge tangent. I finished the suspension stops. And then went off the deep end. I started work on the rear quarter...specifically the rear "overhang"......

One of the things I am "planning" on doing is. That rear crank start cover will be open... No I don't that this is gonna be historically accurate, BUT it will be a cool element to construct....

So FRICKING much for "planning" to do something..... I just couldn't pull it off the way I wanted to.....
