Chaps. Here's the frame, I appreciate it's not much but it's all you get as the engine also serves to provide rigidity. It's multi part including four small captive nuts. Looks tatty because I have laid some filler primer on to fill the small join seams, needs a touch more rubbing back before the colour coat goes on.

Thanks Chris. To be honest, its a bit slow at the moment, I'm waiting on paint, hope that once it arrives I can make some serious progress.

Ta chaps. At last I managed to get some paint on it, attach it to the engine and fit the remainder of the air intake so we are (albeit slowly) making progress!

Very kind guys. Work is underway on the pipework as well, all of them come as two parts so a fair degree of join seam removal is necessary. especially the ends. A coat of Chrome Silver makes them look about right although as you can see, the smallest pipe requires some further work.

Prof...the pot you rested the frame and donkey on,was that the colour you used for the frame, and if so whick red is it? When I built the ole Protar kits I used the Fiat Racing red from Halfords....worked for me!!!! ,although I know the newer Dukes are a bit more 'orangy' now.

Hi CB, no, that was the first pot that came to hand. For the frame and body parts I used Tamiya Rattle Can TS-8 Italian Red although the instructions call for TS-49? Bright Red.

Hello chaps Progress! Remainder of the cooling system has been installed and the seat and tank painted Nato Black underneath before being installed as well. The captive nuts in the frame are a touch loose making it very difficult to tighted the four screws retaining the seat and tank, done what I can so it won't fall to pieces! Now it's together, I can press on with some of the finer detail painting... Thanks or looking guys.
