I thought it was what I wanted too, turns out it's either the Limited Edition exact match Lime Green (long sold out) or TS-22 light green.
Hey ho, I'll shove it on my shopping list for tomorrow, I'm close to Hobbycraft so will try my luck there.

I try not to as it's so darn expensive there but it does from time to time serve a purpose. Mind you, they always have a good selection of bike kits :-)

Right, not much but here we go. Frame, swing arm and airbox assembled. Bit of work needed on the old join seams, concentrating only on areas which will be seen later. Primer then a coat of Semi Gloss Black, finish has come out pretty good actually!

Here we go. Bodywork... Spent the morning assembling, filling, sanding, filling again and sanding once more before finally priming I will lightly flat back once more before a final application of Tamiya White Fine Surface Primer ready for the colour.

Hi chaps, very kind of you.
To answer both your questions, the approach I take is as follows:-
1. Stick the bits together (I know, goes without saying) 2. When dry, sand back the join seam then lay on grey primer. The grey serves to highlight imperfections and missed gaps and seams. 3. sand back any seams you still find and fill any gaps with Cyano. Cyano is my weapon of choice as once dry it has a similar hardness to the styrene so it all sands back uniformly. 4. Repeat if necessary. 5. Lay on White Fine Surface Primer as this serves as a neutral base for the colour coat, grey primer tends to result in a lack of vibrance in the colour coat.
There we have it chaps, long winded but works for me!

I'm sure others do it differently to me? On cars and bikes, the bodywork is the make or break element so whichever way you choose to prep, it pays to spend what is probably a disproportionately large amount of time on it as the results are likely to be better.

And here they are. Five parts to each, all the parts are from the Detail up set but only the lower most part requires paint. The anodised finish is nearly impossible to achieve with paint so these should really make the front end look sweet!
