I have this kit in my stash, so I will follow closely to see how it builds up in your capable hands.

MASSIVE SIZE difference from the King Tiger I'm also working on..... first thought....what the heck did I get into?? Some of the interior: Broke the tiiiinny tiny little knob off the gear selector lever. Since it's way deep and forward odds are it will go unnoticed.

Keep in mind that unless you illuminate the interior of this model somehow it's gonna be very dark in there and you'll not be able to see much of it. You may want to figure out placement of an LED bulb or two in the fighting compartment so all your interior work can be seen and appreciated '

I've been messing around with Takom's 1/32 AH-64...if this kit is anywhere near the same quality, you're in for a fun build!

Hey thats a great idea reserve, might look into doing that, tanks have internal lighting so it would make sense. I am amazed at the detail as well, I'm co building a 1/16 Trumpeter King Tiger, and while a different vehicle the detail is no where near this little 35th kit has.

I am really looking forward to you building this kit Perry. I’ve eyed this kit in the past but considered it just a bit too much for me to tackle. I am sure under your excellent skills it is going absolutely choice.

Haven't chimed in on this one as of yet but I'll fix that right here. I haven't watched a Takom kit being built before but I'm sure looking forward to seeing how it all goes here with this one. Build away Perry....

We are to a fantastic start. While probably not required just a heads up that I gotta play lumberjack today so while I'm watching NASCAR tomorrow my hands will be busy. Looking good so far everybody.

I recently completed the Takom Porche Tiger II with the interior and had lots of trouble with interference. Since you have a turretless TD perhaps you'll not have such trouble but as you get along in the build I'd suggest lots of careful checking and dry fitting. Might save ya some pain down the road

Thanks for the heads up reserve, I do an awful lot of test fitting/ dry fitting however SOMETIMES once glue is applied something goes sideways.

So there is alot of discussion on how to dress out our Panthers and varients.... I'm looking at mine and thinking...skirts YEEEESS skirts it's the new skirtless look LOL. It matches the kinky rubber knee high boots aka rubber rimmed road wheels.

Shot of the floor and transmission dry fit, second shows the right hand side exterior with the torsion arms installed. The torsion bars need to be painted black or gun metal as apposed to the red oxide interior floor color. So looks like a few more days of sub- assemblies and off to paint for first shots.

That is some great progress Perry. The assembly sure looks clean to me. That is some sweet detail on that kit. Appears that everything fits well and fits together nicely.

I have built Takom kits in the past, not many but a couple, I am amazed at the amount if detail put into this kit. My inpression is it is very well engineered and if trouble occurs it will most likely be builder error and not the kit. The instructions are very concsice however extremely " busy" and can make some steps confusing....slow down, study drawing, dry fit!! Patience is your friend and you will be rewarded with an incredible detailed model. The one thing I'm interested in is to find out about scale fidelity, after tinkering on the 1/16th stuff my 35th things seem very small. JagdPanthers are not large by standards however they ain't small either. Might grab a Tamiya Panther next and put side be side for a comparison. Not a show stopper for me, more of a curiousity and interesting factoid. Having a BLAST with this GB..my first I actually intend to finish. Stay tuned more to come soon.

That kit looks great, really interested to hear about your experience with it.
I would love to see a side by side comparison when you have time.
