Looking good Andy! Be aware that the AK silly putty is a bit more runny than actual Silly Putty. I have seen several reports that you can't leave it on the model overnight, it will run into the cracks and be difficult to remove. I haven't ever left it on overnight so I don't know if that is true or not, just giving you a heads up.

I left some on for few days and it fell off on the sides but not too bad. Here’s my inputs about this product… PRO- Ssssooooo EASY to remove unlike silly putty. Absolutely no residue at all. Easy to bend or move the long rolled string of putty. CON- Don’t leave it on top of vents or screens because it will really creeps thru. I learned the hard way as I left it on overnight. It is best to apply and remove as soon as you are done. It can be very sticky so if unapplied putty hits other already on the model it will stick real good making it diffucult to separate. So you have to apply with care. Glad you liked it. Can’t wait to work more on it when I return home!

The camo's really breaking up the tank's silhouette. Can't wait to see your weathering.

Awesome progress Andy. Your camo came out great. Wonderful effects on your tracks also. Really well done.
As a dedicated Silly Putty user, I am curious about the AK product. Has anyone tried the trick of putting it in the fridge for a sort while and see if it just pops off like Silly Putty. Also, sorry to hear that yours dried up. I've yet to have that happen to me and I have some that is years old.

My Silly Putty is at least 10 years old and now sort of a grey colour from all the paint that has been kneaded into it. It comes of as slick as can be.

I've yet to have that happen to me and I have some that is years old. I haven't done that trick but I have read that it worked. I can imagine my wife yelling me for taking some food out to make a room for my Panther if I do this approach. Yeah, the freezer is so full right now. LOL I was surprised that mine has gone stiff despite that they were still sealed in factory wrapping after 5+ years. Like the way the camo came out Thanks buddy! Oh yes! My Silly Putty is at least 10 years old and now sort of a grey colour from all the paint that has been kneaded into it. It comes of as slick as can be. Yeah, I admit I was surprised when I tried to use them. At first it was so stiff so I did plenty of rolling and squeezing to soften it up which helped but it just won't stick to the Panther anymore. Weird! I usually keep them in the basement where my man cave is which is pretty cool all year round and it was still pinkish. That caused me couple of weeks delay to order the AK camo masking as I was planning to paint between the holidays. LOL Great paintwork! I look forward to seeing your weathering on this as well Thanks man! Me too but unfortunately it has to wait until I return home in a week... visiting my parents in Florida now to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday! Really looking good. I hope I can get back on mine soon. Keep it coming. Thanks Brandon! I will be on look out for yours. We need to push each other to finish ours soon!
