Looking great! You have way more patience and perseverance than I. The Meng tracks drove me to the best tracks I've ever experienced however. (And mine had the side sprue gates - I just couldn't do the gluing of each guide horn... like Mark said.) Shaping up very well sir. Looking at the track sprues in the one in my stash I'm inclined to cough up for some RFM replacements...the seperate guide teeth feature has always seemed pretty silly to me Building that RFM JP right now, I'd advise something other than those tracks. If you're gonna spend money for AM you might as well get a set where no work is required other than assembly. The RFM Panther tracks need to be cut off sprues and sanded. They look pretty good, I won't lie, but they take a lot of work to get there. I spent probably 8+ hours cleaning up and building them. If I buy Panther tracks again they will probably be the PanzerWerk Design ones. I would consider the Scale 3D ones Joe recommended, but I know for sure the PWD ones were awesome. *Edit: Well at least the RFM plastic ones. I don't know if they have 3D printed ones, and if they do, how they differ. The RFM Panzer III/IV plastic tracks were great though, in comparison.

Little tweaking to get the angles angled and the flats flat and will be ready for paint.

Not a huge update but C hooks and spare tracks placed. Nothing is flat coated yet so it is all a high semigloss and effects look a bit more stark than they will when done.

Looking real good, looks like upu are going to make it. Still a long way to go actually but just got vacation approved for Dec 16 through Jan 3 so will be done no problem. This is the first armour kit that has ever taken me this long but I am pouring everything I have got into it.

Track finish step 1. Gloss gunmetal airbrushed.

Stage 2 Since I am doing a relatively new vehicle I wanted to keep a bit of the metallic shine so they get a coat of Citadel Ironbreaker. This is a "layer" paint that is sort of semi transparent and just shades the gunmetal. It gives a nice metallic look and isn't near as silver looking as the picture makes it appear. Most of it will disappear under the next layers. I would skip this layer if doing rusty older tracks.

Stage 3 on right. Hard to see difference from stage 2 but liberal coat of Citadel Nulin Oil (colour name it is water based) wash To deepen the recesses and knock down the metallic a bit. Stage 4 on the left. Citadel Agrax Earthshade wash to give the almost but not quite rusty look. The washes let enough of the "metal" peek through that it mimics the polished effect from passing through dry soil very nicely.
This Berge camo was for southern France in mid summer 1944 so the tracks would not be rusted but more metal coloured and dust covered. This was my goal. A layer of dust and small bit of dirt will be added with pigments and thin water colours when I get to the diorama stage and know what colour the soil will be. Probably very light like this.

Just loose fitted with no adjustment yet but you get the idea.

After lots of superglue and much concentration one track is now adjusted and finished. Now the trick will be to keep it that way while doing the other side.

Well that doesn't happen every day! One track two hours and half a bottle of superglue. Next track just falls into place and done in 10 minutes.

Catching up here... the tracks really look great! Are you sure that you used half bottle of super glue on the tracks or some went on your fingers too?

Excellent sir. Seems you learned how on the first side, no? Nope. No learning curve was involved. Second track literally laid down exactly in position even though there was no discernible difference between the two sides. Catching up here... the tracks really look great! Are you sure that you used half bottle of super glue on the tracks or some went on your fingers too? I actually managed the whole task without gluing my fingers together or to a part even slightly!

So as you can see above I managed to break off one of the brackets for the schürzen. Now I have to decide if I want to glue the piece back on all bent and leave two off or replace it with a spare and hang all the panels.

As the rest get's busier I am less impressed with how bare the front is. I will not be mounting the KwK20 as it appears to have been exceedingly rare even though most berges had the mount for it. Guess some appropriate field mods are in order.
