I'm a bit late to this endeavor but, I'm on it now as this is absolutely choice. You have got some really sweet progress going here and it looks sharp. Glad to see you hanging with it as you did a fine job on recovering the roof decal. It's all in the recovery my friend. The best part is that you are pushing forward to our shear delight. Love the color as well as the application. Just looks boss. Thanks for the kind words Joe. Now, if only I can reduce the number of mistakes… I've got more than plenty of those in my builds. lol. For me....while I do try to reduce them, I've found that once they do happen, I try to either cover them up or re-direct attention/ focus onto something else using detail or AM accessories nearby. I've had a disaster in an interior turn into a magazine or other kind of object put in that area to cover it.

I really love the color and it will probably be my first choice if I ever be that rich to own one! You did a great job! Colour on the real one is much nicer… I’d be buying the same. Hey, maybe we can get a discount if we buy 2?

That color of GREEN looks GREAT on that body, sting. Your painting skills really shine (pun intended..LOL) on this build.

Like training a new puppy… use distraction. :^) I kinda treat it like each new kit is an opportunity to build a perfect (mistake-free) model. Each mistake used to reduce my enthusiasm by 10%. Over the past few years I’ve learned to fix and/or avoid some of those mistakes through contributions from other modellers. I’d say my enthusiasm number is down to about 5% these days. :^) If you can’t cover it with a magazine, maybe you could just throw a tarp over it like the military guys do.

FANTASTIC! An even greater build because there was lots to learn even 👍 love these builds with all the info on how it went and where the problems were. That one interior shot looking across the wheel at the dash looks near real. Kudos to you brother!

Never got much into racing (open wheel & nascar). I much prefer cars that resemble street vehicles or those in the 24 hours of Le Mans. As a newbie to car racing, which circuit or events would you recommend? Anything GT or Trans Am would fit the bill. Here's a GT site to browse around www.gt-world-challenge-america.com/So, you may have got me hooked on GT racing. I’ve watched a few past races on YouTube and a couple live broadcasts as well. The 2 organization I find most interesting are Fanatec America/Europe and IMSA. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction keavdog.

I’ve avoided pitfalls on few kits thanks to build notes and videos from other modellers. It’s nice to pay it forward.

Things are moving along. Engine bay is done about as far as I'm gonna take it. Played around a bit with Prismacolor pencils (thanks Joe :^) Wheels are done too. I used the P.E. rotors for a little more accuracy. Might still put a little black wash or panel liner over them. What was the Prisma Color tip? Great build on this…just stunning work!!!

I know an aircraft modeler that uses graphite pencils to weather chip, so I was figuring the colored pencils would be for raised surfaces, like dials. I also assume a dullcoat atop would more than adequately seal it on.

Yeah, the Prismacolor pencils are softer and contain more pigment than traditional pencils. They work better on matte surfaces rather than glossy. The few times I’ve used them have been on interiors or engine compartments so I haven’t considered sealing them under a clear coat. I’d be interested to see how they react with different clears Whiterook
