I do have this recently added to the stash. Not sure if I can finish it in time, but I can certainly try. Its a small scale, yes, but it it the largest model in the build also. Finally a Dora . Given the impressive size of this kit 1/72 is perfectly acceptable. You sure ya don't have the 35th hiding in your garage? . Roster updated. Welcome to the build Brandon

Great googlie mooglie, we has another awesome builder board. Got ya on the roster Mr Moparmadness. I' m planning on the yellow and green squares color pattern, which choice are you gonna use? Im thinking either the classic 3 tone squiggly line camo or the 3 tone autumn ambush camo with dots.

But once I have the book on this I'll probably change my mind.

Let's forget about my 1/16 Alpine figures! I'd like to go bigger... count me in with HobbyBoss 1/48 B-24J Liberator. It is scheduled to be released in early 2024. Good timing.... fingers crossed!

I got some spray cans for my big Tiger, figured the airbrush with a .35 nozzle would be tedious.

Been scrolling through the book I got for the Dora. I was thinking to myself how I wanted to ultimately display this. First thought was standard out of the box build on a shelf, but this is huge and gonna take a hot minute to complete. SO, why not go a bit further. I will be adding LED's and have the Dora posed firing..Yes, it will be lighted and firing when complete. Found a great pic of her doing just that. Not a great photo, but you get the idea. This will make this kit really stand out.

I can't imagine what it would be like to be near any one of those large German railguns firing..much less the Dora. Amazing that all that metal was never found intact, nor was it destroyed by Allied bombing campaign. Terrifying to have a volkswagon lobed over your head.

That made me think of those VW commercials with the guy who proclaimed “Vee Dub in ze haus!” “Vot time is it?” “I dunno.” “It is time. To unpimp. Das auto.” m.youtube.com/watch?v=e1MNEqCr748&pp=ygUNVncgY29tbWVyY2lhbA%3D%3D

They seem very reasonably priced and they even have these red flickering leds (I think mostly used for camp fire type things) that I used for a saturn V rocket. Cant wait to see this!

I’m curious to see how HB tackled the front and rear turret transparencies. The way the real thing was made is impossible to replicate in injection molding. Someone was working on clear resin ones in 1/32 I believe. One more week…

Probably the best way to approach those nose and tail turrets would be to mold them in three vertical sections: the center, and the two sides, that way you work with the natural framing, gun troughs, and seams of the design and avoid that seam between from and real sections that most model companies choose.

I've got a 1/16 Takom Panzer I Ausf.B I've hardly touched - just started cleaning up a few parts. I'll try to hold off a few more days. Put me in!
