Well...it looks like I have my subject. I was out cruising some websites for some needed supplies and this thing was on sale, not on a huge sale or anything, but good enough I figured I'd go ahead and grab it. So it looks like I'll be building the Hasegawa A-4 version. Looks like a nightmare to paint for a guy that's used to solid and uniform colors. Time to learn some more techniques, I guess. Very solid entry Kyle. These kinds of camo patterns can look very intimidating but with a little bit of patience and a spare kit you can pull it off. What kind of airbrush do you have?

I blame Joe and Jeremy! But I am really looking forward to this… Bought it from a member at my local club. I couldn’t resist the box artwork! Andy....... And yet again a modeller blames others for his lack of will power in buying a kit.......that said I regularly used that excuse myself....and will continue to do so! LOL!!!

Oh, I’ve got a couple for different uses. Started out with a cheapy Amazon special, I keep a bigger needle in it and still use it for primer, and then I bought a better pistol trigger one since I’m mostly painting big car bodies. But I’d probably use my Mr hobby Procon boy for this one. It’s a .3 and I typically use it for my finer work. Has the best control of the ones I have. Not surprising as it’s most likely the highest quality.

Oh don't worry about the paint scheme. if you've got a halfway decent airbrush, Luftwaffe camo schemes are not too hard to do. They just need a few touch up go backs with each color to get looking right.

I will watch some videos and look through some builds and stumble my way through. The luftwaffe schemes always look intimidating to me because of how random they are, I suppose. None of that in my background of race car models. Lol

Kyle, seeing builds you've created, with your skillset I have zero doubts you will pull off a great Luftwaffe paint scheme no matter what you choose to do

The Luftwaffe schemes don’t have that much random in them aside from the fuselage side mottles. Work light to dark on the bottom to top colors and pattern, then go back and with touch ups do the side mottles and it’s quite formulaic.

I've heard A LOT of good things about that kit. I'm most certainly looking forward to seeing that one being built. I found an unboxing video of it on YouTube (all in German) last night, and I think the thing that blew me away the most was the instruction manual...INSANELY DETAILED. It looks like this one is going to be a whole new experience for me. Definitely jazzed about getting one now. Here's the link to the video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFYtEvbP0uw&ab_channel=Rock%27N%27RollPosersScaleworld

It appears that we have D-9s and A-3/4/8s pretty well covered. Let me see what else I can crack open.

It appears that we have D-9s and A-3/4/8s pretty well covered. Let me see what else I can crack open. Thank you for putting that together Marc. I've had a pretty busy schedule for the last few days and haven't had a chance to devote any dedicated time here but that'll change on Friday when I'm off. I changed my original entry to a Ta-152 and made the change on your roster.
