Well, it's done. The only issue I had with this kit was a slight twist to the chassis pan. It was pretty slight, and I didn't even notice it until after I'd painted the chassis aluminum. Not blaming Meng because it could've gotten hot in a container on its way from China, or in a warehouse or hobby shop. Or even in shipping. The kit itself is a marvel of modern engineering with great details throughout. I'd love to pick up another one. One of my favorite kits I've had the pleasure of building. I used a hair dryer to try to combat the twist but it turns out I must not have gotten it quite back square. All was well when I mocked it up but once I had the clamshell and full engine mounted I've found myself with a right front that is on the very edge of liftoff. Depending on how you set the model down. It is soooo close. I'm not too worried about it at all. Anyways I'll post some more finished photos. I'm also considering trying to do some weathering to make it look like it's taken place in a 24 hour race so perhaps more updates later. But I'm setting it aside for now.  |

The details that are included in this kit is staggering and the way you brought it all to fruition is nothing short of splendid.
One question, did you use any kind of Future or anything of the sort on the windows?

A Q-tip moistened with a little water should clean 'em right up. She's still a good lookin' car dude. |

She came out great As for the slight chassis twist, my kit also has one. While your build is the beautiful Meng version, I recently finished the Fujimi 1968 Wyer Gulf car. Years behind Meng's quality standards and details for sure, but still an iconic livery. joel  |
