Oh gents, I know you’re getting tired of these endless paint updates but if it’s not 100% what I want, I will hyper-fixate on the deficiencies.

DISASTER! I was cleaning off a small dot of paint and the paint came up. Back to masking!





After looking over the model again, I couldn’t live with the color variation of the dark yellow. I like to use a 60/40 of dark yellow and buff respectively. The “edit” respray was way off I guess. So I’m remaking the edit areas and spraying another 60/40 layer of yellow.

Final edits complete… again. Starting the ambush dots tomorrow. This time, I’ll practice on a Tamiya Merkava that I bought and put together solely for use as a test mule.

Done with the ambush camouflage. Time for a clearcoat then it’s on to weathering.

One should not attempt this camouflage if one is tweaking or otherwise impaired!

So I sat down to the bench to enjoy a peaceful evening of applying a nice enamel wash. I shook the bottle and instantly realized I forgot to completely close it from my session last night. Needless to say, I got quite a bit on my shirt and the bench. The shirt is in the washer, the bench has been cleaned off, and I am now reading a book! 🫤

I think the Germans knew they were gonna lose and came up with all these wild camos as revenge for the future. Torture is close to this and this one looks fantastic. That is quite a paint job.

The good news is, I got all of the enamel wash out of my shirt.

That's a lot of patience doing that scheme,but we'll worth the effort.

First phase of weathering wash down on the road wheels. The streaking is VERY stark; however, it will fade into the back when I add subsequent layers of dust and mud. I think I’m going to do a very light dry brush on the nuts and bolts to make them pop a little bit.
