I know I need to, but I just don’t want to touch that camo! It’s like buying a new car and trying to go as long as you can without getting any door dings.

Thank you both for your kind words! I broke my foot so I’ve been away from the bench for the past week. More progress coming though.

Don't do model work while on pain meds! It may seem like the perfect way to pass the time but I ruined two expensive kits that way. Had to bin them. The pain meds screw up your perception and your parts placement will be off just enough to kill the kit. They should put the warning on the bottle right below not operating any heavy equipment.

 Oh man. I missed that news and I'm really sorry to hear about that Chad. I do hope your recovery process is coming along well though buddy. Looking forward to continued progress on this one buddy.

Ouch! I missed this when you posted. Hope that you’re healing up quick and will be on the bench again sooner rather than later. We take our feet for granted until something like this happens to them.

Hello my friends. I am back on the Hetzer! My son is a rotational pitcher for a D1 college team and they’re about halfway through the season, so most of my weekends have been consumed with baseball and yard work.

I’ve done all the weathering I think I’m going to do on this one because I want to really showcase the ambush camouflage. No chipping,no filters, etc. I still need to weather the spare tracks, tow cables, tools, etc. Then it’s time to build the tracks and figure.









I am going to try this type of camouflage again on a more complicated build that I feel would really lend itself to some dirty, grubby, weathering.

Six layers of weathering and the tracks are complete. Last is final assembly then I’ll post the finished product.

Those ambush camo schemes are NOT for the feint of heart but you pull them off nicely Chad. MAN that's alot of work.
