Got all this at a local hobby store that specializes in Gundam models. But they have a TON of different paints and weathering products there.

My name is Andrew.....I can't resist a bargain.....as you well know....... armornutii - this is what I did...... As you may have seen from a post not that long ago, there is a certain seller that for some reason is able to get hold of Plastic Soldier Company wargaming kits and sell them at stupid prices and I mean stupid prices... . Their normal starting point is usually just over 20% RRP including P&P but they offer discounts of up to 20% on top for multi-buys. I wasn't very clever with my purchases and so I didn't maximise my discount opportunity fully but the below came in at anywhere from 16-45% below RRP delivered, depending on the kit (and most other sellers also charge P&P on top). Overall the combined discount came in at just over 1/3 of RRP......so all in all I was quite pleased! And of course, what you have to remember is that each 'kit' contains at least three - if not more - individual models. The only exception is the Churchill one, which 'only' contains two models. Not quite as bad as deafpanzer 's recent haul but I was quite pleased nonetheless!! ACW as usual. Andrew PS as you can see, a couple came without boxes or instructions but the instructions can be found online.

My buddy from Indy came up for the weekend. Model show (Semmex 24)...we didn't even go...but we did hit the model shop! I'm not really into the 102 or 106...but those are required for a century series group! All I need is to find a decent 1/72 F-101, which is my favorite of the series.

Alpha Models RB16 from the 2021 Season - I shouldn't have, but it was starting to be out of stock in places so I decided it was now or never. Im not skilled enough yet to do this. So this will sit in the stash for a while. Maybe when Honda moves to the Aston Martin Team after 2026 I will be ready to remember the good old days, and skilled enough to build it haha.

Me too Johnny - they spray great right out of the bottle. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had the authentic Italian colors. The duck egg green is a fudge for the illusive Italian interior green which my research shows is all over the place so I cant be wrong 🤷♂️

Having built both of them, I know you will both thoroughly enjoy building them. They are magnificent models, equal to or better than modern Tamiya.
As for me, here's some items that have been gifted to me. It's the only way lately that I can get anything so far. First, from a very generous Canadian, here are 100 3-D printed chairs in 1/72 scale. Some are complete, others will need to be assembled:
Thank you Jean Marc!
One of my fellow Orange County IPMS friends gifted me these and more: In addition to the above, he also gifted two, possibly three other 1/72 scale P-51D models in baggies,, all complete. I'm planning on keeping the P-38 (it's already started as you can see soon in my next tour) and the egg plane. I'm still debating whether I'll build the P-51B, but all the -D Mustangs I'd like to sell. Anyone want a herd of Mustangs, give me an offer. Try not to low ball me too much though; we are insolvent here and I could really use the money. That's all for now. I'm going to go prepare for the next Maddog Manufacturing tour now.

There was a post recently on here and this Revell Chrome paint was brought up and I wanted to try it. However, I did not want to have to pay shipping on one can of spray paint so I started poking around. Which is never good. I've already spent more than I wanted to this year on kits and its only May 1st. BUT... I did find something really cool that I have never thought of. My son LOVES trains. We take a 2 hour train ride a few times a year to Sacramento to take him to the train museum. We make a little family trip out of it, staying at a hotel, going out to eat. Good weekend getaway. Never thought to search for specific train kits, but his favorite train is this "Big Boy" Union Pacific train. That or the Polex.. it changes regularly. So I plan on making it for him in secret and giving it to him for his birthday. That isnt until September so I have time, but not a lot so Ill be starting this soon.

Time for a haul update from me. Hit an online auction for a few old kits. A few old Fords and a Trumpy Bonneville. The trumpeter auto kits are supposed to be really nice. We shall see. Then when in North Carolina I swung by Wings, Wheels and Waves. Home of MCW Finishes. Mike Guest has owned MCW for a good long time now but just moved to North Carolina from Ohio a couple years ago. I was only about 30 miles away in my work trip so I wanted to check it out. Seeing the paint operation right there in the hobby shop was pretty cool and he had a truly awesome lineup of kits as well. New and old. I picked up a few bottles of paint and having just finished watching Masters of the Air a while back I also grabbed this B-17.

I miss being able to drive to a real hobby shop. There is one here but its more r/C with a model section. That’s why I’m a firm believer in supporting local hobby shops. Even if you have to pay a bit more, nothing beats actually going in to a shop to see the goodies in person… and nothing beats being able to drive over and pick up supplies when you unexpectedly run out of a paint or glue, as opposed to waiting a few days for a delivery… once your local shop is out of business, that’s a convenience forever lost.
