Time for a haul update from me. Hit an online auction for a few old kits. A few old Fords and a Trumpy Bonneville. The trumpeter auto kits are supposed to be really nice. We shall see. Then when in North Carolina I swung by Wings, Wheels and Waves. Home of MCW Finishes. Mike Guest has owned MCW for a good long time now but just moved to North Carolina from Ohio a couple years ago. I was only about 30 miles away in my work trip so I wanted to check it out. Seeing the paint operation right there in the hobby shop was pretty cool and he had a truly awesome lineup of kits as well. New and old. I picked up a few bottles of paint and having just finished watching Masters of the Air a while back I also grabbed this B-17. Very cool Kyle! Although I've not built it yet, I acquired one of the B-17 kits and this time last year..... It looks great on the sprue.....oh and mine cost me nothing!!😆

I paid small town hobby shop prices for mine but I’m ok with it. Does seem a nice kit on the sprues.

Didn't realize Trumpeter made cars other than the GT40 and LaFrance fire engine (which I have partially started and looks really nice) I have a different boxing of the 3 in 1 ford - I want to make a flatbed and make some "Winslow Trucking" decals and add a female driver

The Bonny also has a hardtop version. They have several version of early shoebox Ford Falcons (including the ranchero) and shoebox Chevy novas (Chevy II). I’ve seen a rather random boxing of a trumpy 1978 Monte Carlo. It was very expensive and I think those are ugly anyways so I didn’t spring for that. Lol.

It is easily the best B-17 in that scale and possibly beats most in any scale. It will not disappoint.

I don’t remember the whole story behind why they did those Pontiacs but it was because they were contracted by somebody or other for those specific cars. Will have to try to dig up where I read that. They are a very odd choice of make, model and year for any manufacturer to just randomly decide to mold when not really into cars.

So if you find the story I’d happily read it. Kit looks really nice though and even has some PE

I want my whole Century Series in SEA camo! I've got the Trumpy F-100(2 seater) with SEA option. F-101B (still needed) I'm thinking Revell is my best option here F-102 has SEA option. F-104 has SEA option Have Trumpy F-105 (2 seater)...almost ready for paint, but lost the nose cone F-106...haven't seen any in SEA Trumpy F-107 is in a "what if" SEA scheme The Cmbat Ace video game has you covered for the what if 106 Ace Combat is where it's at!!! I bought a PS2, just for Ace Combat 4...the best of all of them IMHO. We did get a PS4, and I got A/C 7, for the VR...unfortunately, there's only like 3 missions that are VR. They also throw a LOT of stuff at you and the "easy" level is about as easy as the "hard" level on 4. I'm not big on video games, but I can spend some time on that one!

Not a model but new none the less....trying to convince my GSD that just because his head fits in his mouth that it's supposed to be there. Poor Tigger gets slobbered on hourly.

I’d like to get the resupply set and maybe set it up on sort of a hardstand or something.

That was my plan but I built, painted and weathered it all put it back in the box and there it remains. I just have no display space for it. Its a problem. I don’t really have anywhere to put my Shackleton or my 1/48 P-61 either. Let alone a whole hardstand diorama. Definitely something to think about before I buy the other set.

New at my stash. Nice haul. I was fortunate enough to see the Vulcan on one of its last flights before it was grounded due to safety issues.

I'll add a bit of Sci-Fi. I just picked this up, minus the decals. I found some aftermarket decals. The cockpit is lacking but the rest of the kit isn't bad. I remember it going together ok back in the '80s. It's a cool looking ship from a mediocre (at best) TV show.

I saw it at the beginning of the show and kept thinking about it. He marked it down towards the end of the show and I had to get it.

So I’ve made several small purchases for my 1/35 armor over the past couple of weeks… most for use on current projects… Plus I picked this one up for a generous offer of only paying for shipping… thanks Jean Marc! Now I need to get a set of decals for it, as I have something quite specific in mind for this one…
