So I’ve made several small purchases for my 1/35 armor over the past couple of weeks… most for use on current projects… Plus I picked this one up for a generous offer of only paying for shipping… thanks Jean Marc! Now I need to get a set of decals for it, as I have something quite specific in mind for this one… Cool!

Stumbled across this on ebay - 0 bids and 3 minutes left in the auction. I couldn't help myself! Decals look a bit iffy - they are taped to the window so we'll see how that works.

Here are 2 of my latest additions to the stash. I built the Stuka as a kid, had fantastic customer service from AirFix helping me get a wheel spat in time for the Kootenia County Fair , took first place. The Uboat will be a second time around as well only this time I won't be bamboozled by a smooth talking salesman, (RIP Wally Bigalowe), for an " interior" that will never be seen.

That is 90% of my available display space in two kits! Is that Stuka the old Airfix kit?

It is, I don't remember the boxing when I was a kid however I know that I got ahold of AirFix for a replacement part. The sub is narrow so it will set back on the shelf....the Stuka....I've got 9' ceilings so it might end up in it's natural enviroments, dive bombing the dog and cat.

Look what came in the mail today. I've built one of these (it didn't have the scroll top though) and they do turn out nice. The kit already has a fair amount of detail in it so it doesn't need a whole lot of help in that department. Windshield fit was a little wonky and the engine cover had injector pin marks that would show up glaringly but still....these are some really good kits.

It says right on the box "For SKILLED modelers"

Thanks Chad. It is certainly the better of the two kits that I put my tickets into play for.

Check out a hobby store in San Antonio that I hadn't been to before this weekend. Picked up this Marcoss kit. Also got a book on the Bradley at a Half Price Books.

A surprise arrival this morning! My coworkers were yelling at me from downstairs to have a fried chicken lunch with them. But I couldn't hear them, as I was too busy fondling the new kits. The package tracking went dead at San Francisco, so I wasn't expecting the box until later this week. The Crusader was one of those US Army projects that seemed like an awesome idea at the time but didn't work out in the end. An M-1 Abrams based chassis with a liquid propellant gun? How could that NOT be a bad idea? But I did read that the novel gun actually worked as advertised. I do wonder why one would base a howitzer on a 70-ton tank chassis. The BTTF DeLorean is an all-new kit, with much improved detail compared to the original Aoshima kit. The separate doors alone make the kit worth getting. But Aoshima went even further and provided all the time displacement gear as separate pieces. This also allows Aoshima to kit a stock DeLorean, something I have dreamed about since 1982. I hope the stock kit has a proper "X" frame backbone chassis. I can finally "Live the Dream". The robot thing is from an old 1980s anime "Fight! Iczer One!" I watched the first video but didn't even know that a second and third one existed. I think this kit is based on the Iczer Robo's appearance in one of the later episodes, as I seem to recall the original one had softer, rounder edges. In the order, I also got some new joints that I wanted to try for my robot retrofit projects. They are made of polycarbonate, which is unusual. Most times they are made of polystyrene, ABS or polyethylene.

John of the Keavdog fame was kind enough to post a sale for this Ju-87 for 25 bucks so I thought why not since I had no good Ju-87 kits (as if there is anything good about a JU-87.. ).
Looks good in the box.

Last haul from my favorite LHS before he closes up. Not pictured is also a bunch styrene for possible future needs. Paint, glue, whatever I could find I thought I could use at some point. It was all 30% off.
