Awesome stuff guys! While on vacation I was able to pick these up from John's Models: He also had these available, which I snapped up because of all the spillage I keep having: Upon my return, I worked a tabletop game convention and was able to pick up these: Those will go toward my M*A*S*H compound when I start making it. Yes, they are a bit bigger than 1/72 scale, but I always considered those characters larger than life for me anyway. LOL! We'll see how things go once something happens. That's all for me for now. Very nice haul. Love the MASH unit. Used to love watching it on TV. ATB Andrew

I ordered this yesterday. Not my usual direction but it was cheap compared with e-bay prices. Usually when i find an out of production Tamiya and i think i have done well........they re issue it cheaper My guess is this will be 45+ years old so you have to add on new decals etc to the price. later versions had PE, i doubt this will but i looked on line for the PE and its more than i paid for the complete kit. $119usd in fact.....what planet do these people live on it seems to be just brake discs and seat buckles mainly so will see what i can do. Its a shame the detail up people have discontinued the parts

When eBay first started, one could get a good deal on there and every now and then there is still a good deal to be had but for the most part it's price gouging at its best. I will say that at least you can find some of this kind of stuff on eBay when you can't anywhere else.

I used to follow e-bay pretty closely for motorcycle parts. what i found was the same stuff listed over and over again. Just because you ask silly money doesnt mean you will sell at silly money. Stuff that was a fair price and sold was usually re listed at a silly price later by the new buyer. That way the sellers removed all the cheap opportunities and that just left their silly priced offerings.

Stuff that was a fair price and sold was usually re listed at a silly price later by the new buyer. That way the sellers removed all the cheap opportunities and that just left their silly priced offerings. A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away EBay was an auction site where the highest bidder got the item which really set the value and therefore the price. It was also mainly populated with private sellers looking to get rid of some stuff for a reasonable price. Now it is pretty much all on-line retailers selling as "Buy It Now" at a set price (usually high) since they have set the value not the consumers. See the very occasional auction still but as you said anything that does go for a decent price is usually scooped up and then resold at a much higher one. The shipping prices are also often way out of line with most "normal" hobby sites. A model car kit should not cost $80 in shipping alone just to cross a border!

I have the Zoukei-Mura P-51 D/K with a few extras in the stash . Need to pull it out and build it . The Zoukei-Mura Kits are really nice and the instructions are top notch as well.

Driving to get a coffee this morning (Tim Hortons EH) and passed a garage sale. Had to stop beside it while the guy in front of me turned so I glance over and spot a very familiar looking pile of boxes. Immediately pull in and I was correct it was a pile of 4 kits all several years old but in perfect looking boxes. They wanted $10 each but I will always haggle So I offered $20 total expecting to settle half way at $30. To my surprise they agreed to the $20 and the stack was MINE! without even opening the boxes I scooped them up and headed for my coffee. So here is my $20 haul: Good old Tamiya Spitfire all there in plastic except instructions and one piece of canopy (there are optional parts so that is fine). 20 year old release but hey it is Tamiya. Retails about $60 CDN Revel B-17G 2004 release. All there and still in plastic bags. Decals still perfect. Retail $70 CDN Revell/Monogram F-14A 1998 release. Out of bags but appears complete. Perfect decals. Retail $40 CDN Revell A10 2003 release. Retail $50 CDN. Out of bags and some paint on landing gear and wheels but complete with fair but appear usable decals. I already have one of these but it is earmarked for a battle damaged bird so this will be a "before" version. I may build it soon as a slump buster. Anybody that has been around here a while may know my love of building these old kits OOB so at less than 10% of "retail" this score makes me very happy.

Got two new books in. These are from Reid Air Publications and since he's closing up shop at the end of the year, I had to get them now. I now have all of his books.

Ok. Chaps...some more arrivals! ACW as usual. Andrew ------------------------------------------- Some more masks for the recent wingy purchases!
A real departure for me. Saw this pop up on a Farcebook auction site last weekend. Here in the UK the cheapest new is £35 but circa £40 is the norm. There have though been a few eBay sales cheaper, with the cheapest @ £26, which is what I paid for this so a pretty good price IMHO!
